Wakali Wao, who in my opinion are the most underrated Gengetone artists in Kenya, have released a new track with Swat Mtoto Wa Eunice and Mtukutu and it’s a big tune.

The song titled Katatamba has been getting a lot of airplay since it came out a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it.

Swat Mtoto Wa Eunice

Katatamba is so infectious. I’ve listened to it a couple of times since it was released and every time I play it, it is like I’m hearing it for the fist time.

If you chose not to concentrate on the dirty things that they are singing about and focus on the wordplay and rhymes, you’ll realize how talented these youngsters are.

Both Iano Ranking and Kim Swat have a unique ability to play around with words and make dope rhymes. To add to that, they also have a natural and impeccable flow that gets you hooked instantly.

Mtukutu

It is so hard to pick who between the two had the dopest verse in Katatamba but if I had to chose then I would say it is Iano Ranking.

As expected, Swat Mtoto Wa Eunice also brought his A-game. His verse is too lit and you just want to keep listening to him over and over.

Mtukutu was not too bad either. He also laid down a dope verse and it makes you wonder why Ethic kicked him out in their early days. Amway, that’s a story for another day. Isn’t it?

The beat was also on point. The producer did not let us down I must say that he did not let us down. I was literally dancing on my seat as I was writing this review.

Listen to Katatamba below and tell us what you think. Big up to Wakali Wao, Swat and Mtukutu.
