Wema Sepetu: 2017 was the worst year ever for me

2017 was a jinxed year for Wema Sepetu. The former Tanzania beauty queen reveals she struggled to smile throughout 2017 even though she was suffering from inside.

Wema started 2017 by getting arrested and spending days in remand. She was arrested in February after being found in possession of bhang in her house.

Wema’s case in court dragged throughout 2017 and is yet to be determined. The actress spent the better part of 2017 in the corridor of justice.

Lipstick banned

Wema Sepetu’s lipstick brand ‘Kiss’ was banned in Tanzania sometimes in November 2017. Tanzania Foods and Drug Authority (TFDA) said the lipstick was unfit for human use.

All these misfortunes put together made 2017 the worst year for Wema Sepetu. The actress says she had no joy at all in 2017 ever since she was arrested.

“Mwaka 2017 umekuwa ni mwaka mbaya kwangu kuanzia mwezi wa pili tarehe tatu hapo ndipo mwaka wangu ulipoanza kuyumba, nilikuwa sana na msongo wa mawazo na nilikuwa siyo mtu mwenye raha ingawa nilijaribu kutabasamu,” said Wema Sepetu.
