Wema Sepetu’s latest political move threatens to drag her career down the drain!
Image: Tanzanian sweetheart, Wema SepetuIt is no secret that actress Wema Sepetu can sometimes be indecisive. A while back she walked away from CCM and joined Chadema – only to announce a few hours ago that she was rejoining her old party.
Wema’s announcement
Through her Instagram page the actress wrote saying;
Siwezi Kuendelea kuishi kwenye Nyumba inayo nikosesha amani… Peace of mind is everything for me… Natangaza Rasmi kuondoka Chadema na Kurudi Nyumbani…. #ThereIsNoPlaceLikeHome… Feels good to be Back…
This move has however angered many who support Chadema. Among those who have been criticizing the actress is blogger Mange Kimambi who called out the lass in a long post for being a traitor. Mange Kimambi wrote saying;
“Not sure what to say, I only blame her for not being strong enough. Nyerere alikaa jela 25 years she could have taken 2 or 3 years za hiyo kesi yake. Kimara nzima wamebomolewa nyumba na wanaishi sembuse yeye mwenye jina kubwa??? Na lipshine zako walizozipiga marufuku so what? Ungekomaa na msimamo wako serikali ingechoka kukuandama. Wema you are weak! Very weak! Hujawaangusha waTZ tu, umejiangusha mwenyewe pia, your fans and everyone who cared for you. Hivi kizazi hiki kina Winnie Mandela hakuna kabisa eeh?? Kila mtu anaogopa umaskini! Nakuonea huruma mnoooo sababu umepoteza credibility yooooote kwenye jamii…..Dah, kweli adui yako muombee njaa!”
Judging from the large number of social media following Mange has, she seems to have incited Chadema supporters to boycott Wema Sepetu’s products and Application. She wrote saying;
“Hii struggle ni yetu sisi. Watu kama Wema Sepetu watatuchelesha kupata ukombozi ila hawatatuzuia. Inabidi na sisi watanzania tuache kuwasapati Hawa wanaoturudisha nyuma cha kwanza kabisa tufanye haya yafuatayo. Delete WemaAPP fastaaaaaaa. Unsubscribe from that app. Hakuna tena kununua kazi ya Wema au kusupport chochote anachofanya Wema. Kwanza naamini haitaji tena support yenu kwenye kazi zake naamini sasa ana anapokea posho nyingi Lumumba.”
