Will you be my best friend forever? This is not a marriage proposal… Nairobi man proposes to his lady friend to be his BFF (Photos)

It’s only in Kenya where it seems anything goes… Bahati proposed to his wife (he had already married Diana Marua when he proposed) and now Murua Muziki is proposing to his lady friend to be his Best Friend Forever (BFF).

For starters, Murua is an IT professional whose real passion is in music. He came up the idea of a new national anthem after running a talent search and picked the best promising musicians. Murua is currently fly high with his two singles ‘Home’ and ‘Champion’.

The Kenyan musician-cum-businessman has further obliterated the conventional meaning of a proposal. The fast rising singer decided to show his lady friend Wanjiku Mwaura how much he values their friendship by proposing to her.

BFF ring

Murua caused a stir at After 40 Hotel along Biashara Street when he went known on his knee and popped the big question, “will you be my best friend forever?”.

The singer also had a ring, and when Wanjiku said ‘yes’ to his BFF proposal, he quickly slid the ring on her hand just like any typical marriage proposal.

The two BFFs had a good time together after their proposal. But does it means Murua will still be in the friendzone or he now qualifies for a friendly match?
