“You are killing our careers” Bahati cries after president Uhuru extends curfew to March

Controversial singer Bahati has come forth to address the president for extending curfew or rather ‘lockdown’ that has left many affected business wise.

With the curfew still in place means that there are no night clubs operating past 10pm – hence making business hard for people like DJs, waiters, Club owners and of course artists.

Bahati’s post

So far apart from the Nairobi fest concert that cost a 17 year old boy’s life; we have not had many concerts held in the country. With this, the likes of Bahati feel affected in ways that they can only understand. Speaking for artists, Bahati recently went on to call out the president for not considering those beneath him.

Breadwinners

As seen on the post, the now love song artist went on to remind the president that most artists in the country are husbands/wives and dads/mums who have families looking up to them.

With Kenya still on lockdown, it makes it hard for most of them to even provide for their families; as they depend on their careers to provide for their loved ones. However this has been impossible for some reason; since no one wants to risk being manhandled by the police who have allegedly been harassing Kenyans in the name of ‘Covid-19.’ He wrote;

Dear Mr President;
Happy New Year… This is 2021; No PR No Stunts No Kikis… Just to Let You Know that this Musicians are Someones Husbands, Wifes, Dads and Mums. Yes ,we have People Who Fully Depend on us and We Have employees too. Your Excellency I dont Know if in Your Cabinet theres anyone Who Cares about The Creative Industry; the Djs, Event organizers or anything Concerning the Entertainment Industry… But if You keep Locking Down the Economy and Limiting Events that We fully Depend on thats SIMPLY KILLING OUR CAREERS!!!

Bahati went on to add;

We Kids Just like Yours and its our Cry You Reason with us as a Father. Ata ile 100M hatukuipata but we are still pushing… We are Making Hits that are not paying us Back???????????? Dear Mr President Remember and Consider the Creatives & The Entertainment Industry.
GOD BLESS YOU GOD BLESS KENYA ???? ????????

In yet another post, Bahati went on to reveal that he has a new song coming up….I guess he now has our attention.
