“Life was hard in the 1960…Nimekuwa bouncer, nimefanya garbage collection….nimefanya kila kitu.” Khaligraph Jones Opens up Like Never Before #kukachora

“Life was hard in the 1960…Nimekuwa bouncer, nimefanya garbage collection….nimefanya kila kitu.” That’s how Khaligraph begins his story, a story that has indeed led him to be among the most accomplished rappers in Kenya.

And it started far alright where he was walking all the way from Kayole to back to perform for a show for only 3 minutes for free! But he never gave up, alikachora! That is what helped him rise above all the vices and negativity rampant in Kayole where a lot of people end up being prostitutes and drug addicts.

The same kukachora also helped him develop his skill set and push on, knocking on the right doors until he made it. It also helped him decide on what he wanted with his life, to take charge. Did you for example know he started off as a gospel artist before he progressed to be a rapper? What are you doing to make sure your dreams come to fulfillment? What are you doing to make sure someone recognizes those fashion designs you have been assembling in the last 1 year? What are you doing to market that blog you just started? Umekachora?
