Aramide Sarumoh (conceived 22 June), also called Aramide, is a Nigerian female artist and songwriter. She portrays her type of music as Afro-Soul. Her tune “Iwo Nikan” earned her a honor for Best Vocal Performance (Female) at the Headies 2015. She is an alum of Political science from the University of Jos.
Aramide is hitched. The customary marriage and white wedding was hung on 18 April 2015 in the place where she grew up, Ibadan.
Aramide’s music mission began in 2006, when she challenged on ‘Star Quest’ one of Nigeria’s most lofty and aggressive music ability chase appears. Her band did in the opposition as they were judged the third Runners Up. In 2008, she was a piece of a show called ‘Divas Unplugged’ in the renowned city of Jos in Nigeria; the show had all the main female artistes in the Nigerian music industry and her support in this show was exceptionally testing and fulfilling, and her execution and inclusion was extremely inspirational. On September 9, 2014 she got marked to Baseline Music in the wake of leaving from Trybe Records.
On February 4, 2015 Aramide discharged her first single under Baseline Music, “Iwo Nikan”, which wound up not simply being a solitary but rather a leap forward for her and the name Baseline Music. She won Best Vocal Performance for a similar melody “Iwo Nikan” at The Headies Award 2015.
Her music is impacted by Erykah Badu, Miriam Makeba, Sade, and Angélique Kidjo. She wires soul and jazz with African music to delineate her sound. She performs in Yoruba and English, and is known for her style, which she calls Afro-Soul.
