Stonebwoy is the stage name of Livingstone Etse Satekla, a Ghanaian afropop, dancehall and reggae artiste. He is the CEO of Burniton Music Group. In 2015, he won Best International Act: Africa at the 2015 BET Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards.[2] He is perceived as one of the main Reggae and Dancehall specialists in Ghana.

Satekla was conceived in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra locale of Ghana and started making music in his initial school days. He learned at Methodist Day Secondary School that year with rapper Sarkodie where he picked up his High School Certificate. He proceeded with his tertiary training at University of Professional Studies to gain a degree in Marketing in 2013.

He started executing as Stonebwoy since secondary school as an underground rapper. With inspiration from his family, he showed up on a prominent rap rivalry “Kasahare Level” on Adom FM (an Accra based radio station) which included Sarkodie, Dr Cryme and so forth, where thumped out a few different rappers picking up himself underground prominence. It was through these rap fights and his style of music which got the attention of Samini to sign him to his “Samini Music” record mark.

Under “Samini Music”, Stonebwoy recorded his first hit single “Peak” highlighting Samini and in this manner “Ghetto Love” including Irene Logan. The two tunes earned him assignments at the Ghana Music Awards. After this presentation, he discharged his introduction collection “Review 1 Album”. The collection contains seventeen tracks which highlighted unmistakable Ghanaian specialists including Tinny and Edem beside those specified previously. The arrival of the introduction collection made the Stonebwoy mark an easily recognized name in the music business.

In 2014, Satekla discharged his second collection, called the Necessary Evil. It comprises of twenty-nine tracks, including the well known Baafira track that highlighted Sarkodie (rapper). The collection was the beneficiary of three Ghana Music Awards from six selections.

Discharged on December, 2017; the Epistles of Mama was devoted to Satekla’s late mother by name Mrs Catherine Lucy Aku Ametepi Satekla. The 29 track collection highlights Sean Paul, King Promise, Burna Boy.

Stonebwoy frequently ragga in Jamaican Patois (Patwa or Patwah), and is viewed as a “multifaceted rapper” because of the different melodic styles he have. In 2015, he got numerous honors and assignments extending from “Craftsman of the Year” to “Collection of the Year”. His sophomore collection, Necessary Evil, was the beneficiary of 3 Ghana Music Awards from 6 selections.

Stonebwoy set up the ‘Livingstone Foundation’.[11] In January, 2017 the establishment declared a sponsorship bundle for five understudies of the Tema Methodist Day Senior High School, his institute of matriculation.
