Runtown Reacts to Fraud Allegations Against him

Yesterday, a US based woman made a viral video accusing singer, Runtown of defrauding her. (Read here). The singer has now, through his management, responded to the allegations.

According to him, Runtown is in no way associated to the said woman. They have however, contacted security agencies (DSS and EFCC).

Preliminary investigations by the security agencies has therefore revealed that the woman fell prey to internet fraudsters. They are a group that used the singer’s name to defraud the woman, he said.

Runtown’s management’s statement below;

Our attention has been drawn to reports circulating on social media by a US based woman named, Shawn Rene accusing our artist, Runtown of fraud.

‘Its all lies and and an attempt to blackmail and tarnish our image. We have contacted the Nigerian security agencies including the DSS and EFCC who are all on the matter at the moment and preliminary investigations already reveals that its a group of impostors who may have duped ‘Sawhn Rene’ using Runtown’s name.

Runtown has never and will never defraud anyone.
