According to her, the relationship she had with her father, lead her to finding a father figure in her relationships.

Bisola says forgiving her father won’t happen at once.

The reality star further reveals that her father deprived her of something every child should have. He ws selfish, she said, and forgiving her would be difficult.

I was searching for a father figure in my relationships.

My dad was selfish forgiving him, truly truly letting go I don’t think it can happen at once.

Bisola Aiyeola Says she Wishes her Baby Daddy was Alive to see her Win AMVCA

Its been an eventful few weeks for Big Brother Alumnus, Bisola Aiyeola. First, it was the passing of the father of her daughter, Malcolm Olanrewaju, then the big one, her AMVCA.

In an interview with The Cable Lifestyle, the TV star spoke of how the past weeks have been emotional for her. Winning the AMVCA was a big one for her she said, but it would have been better if Malcolm was alive.

Bisola says Malcolm was one of those that motivated her.

According to her, the father of her child has been one of her motivators and it would have been good for his to see her win.

Excerpts below;

Well, it’s been a sad week for me but I’m also happy that I’m winning this,” she told TheCable Lifestyle.

“It’s not just for me it is for my family, it is for people who have watched me grow and also those that have seen my journey.

“Notwithstanding it would have been beautiful if he (Malcolm) was around to see that I have won this because he knows a bit of the journey that I have been on but I’m sure he’s smiling down.”

On the growth of Nollywood, the actress said;

How we can grow it further is by collaboration and it’s important that many media houses, filmmakers come together to work as one.

“I keep using The Wedding Party’s success as a reference, there were four companies that came together, Ebonylife Films, FilmOne, Inkblot Production, Koga Studios, so collaboration is the new competition. We shouldn’t see each other as competitors.

“It would help to bring in more funds, it would also help us to deviate from the cliché that we are used to producing which is mostly drama, there so much money that can be made from the African movie industry, say for instance animation which is one sector that we haven’t sampled at all.

“Action as well is something we are still working on we can’t say we are totally competing with foreigners.”

A year after emerging second at the widely watched second edition of the BBNaija show, Bisola Aiyeola takes to instagram to thank the organizers for the opportunity given to her. According to her, the show has taken her places, beyond her dreams.

She wrote;

Hey fam!

Today is a birthday of sorts for me. One year ago, I left the Big Brother House as runner-up and set upon a path that has been beyond my wildest dreams.

People always ask me about my time in the house, but truth is none of us imagined the hype surrounding everything we were doing and how our lives were going to change. It still takes me by surprise when I travel around The world and people come up to me to wish me well and sometimes even quote things I said from a year ago.

I went into the house with just one purpose which was to reach as many people and showcase my talent.

When I think of the things that my Big Brother experience has allowed me to do in the past 12 months, it is difficult to do so without overwhelming gratitude.

It has connected me to my beautiful family, @thetemplecompany. It has allowed me greater selection in the kind of projects I do.

It has given me the opportunity to add my voice to the plight of our young girls who have the smallest voices in our country.

Most importantly, it has allowed me to be closer to all of you. I thank @multichoice_africa , @payporte and @dstvnigeria for the life-changing opportunity. I thank My mother, my sister @Adunola.a ,My daughter Leyla for their constant support.

I thank you @biodunstephen And @thetemplecompany for always having my back. I thank each and every one of you for continuing to tolerate my craziness and allowing me to be myself. Trust me when I say you ain’t seen nothing yet! I love you all. #NaTheWorkWeDeyDo #BeTheMovement #TMC #TMPL #BBNaija”

Bisola to Join President Buhari at the 72nd Edition of the United Nations General Assembly

The runner up of the 2017 edition of Big Brother Nigeria Reality TV Show and winner of the ONE Campaign on Girl Child Education is set to join the Nigerian President at the 72nd Edition of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The Reality TV star is going to talk to world leaders on the importance of girl child education.

As a housemate in the Big Brother Naija house, Bisola gave an outstanding and compelling presentation during the Back to School task where housemates highlighted the barriers to girls’ education in Nigeria and presented possible solutions to ensuring every girl in Nigeria completes primary and secondary school.

ONE Campaign initiative aims to increase the access to and quality of education for girls in Nigeria, with an emphasis on girls in Northern Nigeria.
ONE’s Girls Count campaign focuses on the importance of girls’ education, recognising that globally, 130 million girls are out of school, with 51 million of them in Africa. It also said that at least, 10.5 million of such girls resided in Nigeria alone. “Because poverty is sexist, it disproportionately affects women and girls. Nigerian girls’ participation rate in education remains lower than boys’ across all levels of education, particularly at senior secondary level. In primary school, 31% of Nigerian girls are out of school compared to 27% of boys.
It would be recalled that ONE’s Nigeria Director Serah Makka was very pleased with Bisola coming out tops in the task. She said: “we are proud to have Bisola; her presentation was very moving as she highlighted the status of girls education.
“ONE looks forward to working with her as we take our Campaign to the United Nations General Assembly in New York this week.” Waka explained that during the UN General Assembly, African leaders, including Nigeria would be asked to make education work for every girl by 2030, in line with Sustainable Development Goal.
Four other ambassadors for the ONE Girls Count campaign includes Omotola Jalade Ekeinde,Nigerian singer Waje and South Africa’s Bonang Matheba.
