Hilarious! Bovi Narrates how he Fell ‘Mugu’ for a Warri Girl

Comedian, Bovi has taken to social media to recount a very funny but painful experience he had when he was in the University.

According to him, a beautiful dark skinned Warri girl used her charms to get him to the edge twice and left him there. The second time, he even had to risk his life for her, he said. He however, noted that after the second time, the word ‘tori Olorun’ began to mean more to him.

Read Bovi’s tale below;

Tori olorun!! In university I had this classmate. Pat (not real name) was a beautiful black warri girl. Exams were fast approaching. Though Pat and I were cool, she started to draw nearer.

She would sneak up on me in the library while I read; her breasts pressing against my back and her warm breath gently fanning my ear lobe. “Wetin you dey read”, she would casually ask. I honestly thought Pat was in love but before that thought could grow, she cut short her seduction process. Or let’s say she jumped to the end once she saw I was buying her every move and aiming for the kill. What She actually wanted was to sit next to me during exams. Fast forward to days to the exam, we had rehearsals late into the night (theatre-arts department). There was a cult war going on off campus and being on campus at that time meant we weren’t safe.

On how he risked his life for the girl, he said;

Sleeping in the school hostel wasn’t an option either. Pat saw I was going to risk going to my hostel so she begged to walk with me. My hostel was farther than hers but to get to her hostel, you had to take a dark turn off the main road and head down a long thick bush road. At the junction to her hostel she started to beg me to follow her to her hostel and spend the night. Well, she didn’t beg for long.

All of a sudden, this bush road became bright. I held her hand like a soldier, marching on and dreaming of our tryst destined by fate. As we approached her hostel, I heard the chillest words of that month. “my boyfriend will be happy to escort you”, she whispered. I was dazed and livid at the same time. This girl just risked my life by conning me. My urge turned to suppressed rage. I literally lost my erection and temper at the same time. The bush road became dark again. Once we arrived, I told her she must wake her boyfriend to escort me.

I had to be petty to restore my pride. I had just fallen mugu. So mugu I was ready to be to the end. I heard her wake her boyfriend and plead with him to come and escort her classmate. Grudgingly her boyfriend muttered “tori olorun, I no go fit”. And that’s how those words stuck in my brain. Till this date, once I say “tori olorun”, just know that I’m not changing my mind or I’m dead serious!”

Every Marriage I have Hosted Since 2006 are Still Intact- Bovi

One of Nigeria’s foremost comedians, Bovi Ogbonna, has made some interesting revelations about his hosting career, since 2006.

According to him, he is anointed, hence, every wedding he hosts is bound to last. Since that time till now, none of the weddings he MCed at, has crashed, he said.

Bovi speaks about avoiding bouquets.

More interestingly, the MC noted that since that time till now, all the ladies that have avoided bouquets when they were tossed, have remained single. Sadly, the Bovi added that such ladies are bound to remain single till 2024.

If asked whom the host of your wedding is, you are to mention his name, even if it’s not true. This is to secure the longevity of your marriage, he said.

I’ve been hosting weddings since 2006. However from 2013 when I teamed up with my manager till today I have hosted 53 weddings and guess what; all those marriages are still intact. Even the ones that cracked got mended. And every single girl that has avoided the tossing of the bouquet when I called them out have remained single and will remain single till 2042.

Moral of the story is, I have anointing. Now when people ask “who’s hosting your wedding”, even if you lie and say “it’s Bovi”, your marriage will last. I can’t help it. May your blessings coming this week last long just because I say so…. in The mighty name of Jesus ?

So ladies, there you have it, if you hope to get married, stop avoiding the bouquet. Bovi says so.

“Your biggest crime in all of this was not fitting into stereotypes” comedian Bovi commends Dorcas Shola Fapson on her brave act

Following the saga between actress Dorcas Shola Fapson and the taxify driver (read here), comedian Bovi wrote an open letter to the actress. After releasing texts and videos from her experience, so many people label Dorcas has a liar and fame seeker.

Bovi decided to respond to Thebes situation with a letter. He wrote:

Dear Dorcas,
I’m compelled to write you a public letter because I have an overwhelming urge to participate in the public discuss of your recent episode. As a friend, I will feel I failed you by remaining quiet while a section of society bashed you these past few days. But rather than defend you to a group of people who don’t know you personally and who have made up their minds even in the face of overwhelming evidence, allow me to publicly tell you about your experience, what you did right and what you should have done differently.

First off, your biggest crime in all of this was not fitting into the stereotype! You’ve been dragged in many sections for being bold and courageous under fire. While the taxi driver was taken you to a wrong destination, just because your voice was firm and assertive, it seemed as though nothing troubling was happening. While the driver restrained you from coming down from the taxi, you pepper sprayed him and your voice and resolve was still not broken. This too doesn’t fit the stereotype. If it was a scene out of a movie, the director would probably ask you to scream, cry, be shaken and even beg to be let go. In the eyes of many, you were too bold, too calm, too calculated for a lady. To this I say a big kudos. Don’t stop. Don’t change. Because the fact remains, as far as he took you to a destination against your will in the middle of the night, you were abducted. That is a crime punishable by law.
Somewhere, some girl is inspired by your boldness.
Next time though, it will be wiser to get down from the car as quickly as possible. Do not take chances or hesitate. Safety first should be your watch word. Cynthia hesitated in festac. It didn’t end well.
If you had a PR expert by your side the next day, just before you posted those videos explaining what actually transpired, he/she would have worn you a very thick cardigan and wrapped you in a blanket. You would have been asked to speak in a “victim tone”. All this would have been channeled to swing the narrative in your favor. Kudos to you, you weren’t trying to milk the situation, neither were you thinking of the mileage those videos will accumulate.
