Charley Boy Congratulates President Buhari, Likens him to King Saul

Singer turned political activist, Charles Oputa, known as Charley Boy, has taken to social media to congratulate President Buhari. This is coming after INEC announced the incumbent president as the winner of the just concluded presidential election.

According to the leader of the ‘Our Mumu Don Do’ movement, the sufferings of the masses continues. He has always known that the president won’t do well since he was first elected in 2015, he said. To those who are claiming that the election was rigged, the singer, however, stated that APC learned from PDP. Since people described Buhari as a lesser evil, how can a lesser evil defeat a bigger evil, he asked.

Also, the singer commended the president for understanding what he describes as Nigeria’s jungle politics. He is to Nigeria, what King Saul was to Israelites, the activist said.

Charley Boy Sends the Loveliest Birthday Message to his Wife

Veteran singer, Charley Boy, has taken to social media to wish his wife Diane, a happy birthday and his message would probably be the best thing you’ll see online today.

Reminiscing on how he proposed to his wife, the singer noted that he asked her to marry him for selfish reasons. She has however, lived up to his expectations, he said.

Sharing her phone number, the activist therefore asked that his followers should call his wife and wish her a happy birthday. He also admonished them to flood his comments section with birthday messages to her.

Veteran singer, Charley Boy, has over the years made himself known as an activist who constantly speaks up against the ills of the government.

Yesterday, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Mohammadu Buhari, clocked 76. Among the messages that poured in for him across social media platforms however, was the one from the activist.

Wishing him a happy birthday, he sent some birthday wishes which may be translated beyond mere wishes.

Dewy Oputa said Charley Boy has not spoken to her for months

There seems to be a cold war between Charley Boy and his lesbian daughter, Dewy Oputa who recently came open. After, she came open on social media with a picture of her lesbian partner, people came all out for her. Her father after seeing the negative response on social media came out in support of the gay community.

This act was supposed to be one of chivalry for the daughter, but she responded bitterly against her father. In her own account, her father had stopped talking to her for months and has also blocked her on social media.

Charley Boy has made a post on the recent fuss about his daughter’s sexual relationship. His homosexual daughter, posted a photo of her girlfriend recently and there has been a serious buzz on social media. The father posted this:

Charley Boy shares his thought on Pentecostal pastors.

Ace Nigerian singer and activist, Charley Boy Oputa, has in a long Instagram post, spoken on the nature of Pentecostal pastors.

According to him, these pastors have turned Christianity to business enterprise. Pentecostalism, he said, has placed miracle over hard work, and materialism over spirituality.

His words below;

I Decree I know that my people are dying to believe in something especially if it’s magical, because we have the messiah complex. Somebody out there, will come sooner than later, to make all our problems disappear. Na so. That is why we are paralysed and corrupted by fear, we can’t even stand up to injustice. We are waiting for God to come rescue us. Dey der.

Pentecostalism has promoted miracles over hard work, materialism over spirituality. Even if one goes into pastoring on a pure and innocent level, you can’t help but be corrupted by easy money when you sell hope and create enemies all over. It is a cool way to make a living and make decisions that bring in the cash.

Pentecostalism na modern-day commercial enterprise garnished in the cloak of religion with deception and exploitation as its foundation.
Their goal na the complete monetisation of people’s ignorance. It remains the only legally and politically accepted movement completely based upon systematic fraud, deception and cheating.

Charley Boy is now a confirmed born again Christian.

Singer and human rights activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy has given his life to Christ. This, according to a Christ Embassy page, happened in Christ Embassy when the activist visited the church. (Read here).

Yesterday, Sunday, the 4ht of March, the Power Bike crooner, accompanied with his wife, Diane, had a thanksgiving service, at the church in Abuja.

Recall that in 2015, Charley Boy wrote an article on religion, where he drew comparison between Christianity and Buddhism. There, he spoke of Buddhism as the path he has chosen to take to heaven.

Charley Boy Reportedly Gives his Life to Christ at Christ Embassy Church

Reports has it that Charley Boy is now a born again christian.

According to a yet to be verified report by a Facebook page run by Christ Embassy, Charley Boy has given his life to Christ.

The singer reportedly visited the church on Sunday February 25th. and decided to be born again. This was after a private meeting with the regional pastor of the church in Abuja. Other members of his group were said to have also accepted Christ.

In a scenario which could only have been divinely orchestrated, the renowned unconventional musician, entertainer, social activist, and leader of the ‘Our mumu don do’ movement, Charly Boy, is gloriously led to Christ by the highly esteemed Regional Pastor, Christ Embassy Abuja, Reverend Tom Amenkhienan.

Having been invited to church several weeks earlier by a dear sister who met and engaged him on social media, Charly Boy promised that he will come to church.

With persistent reminders and follow up, on Sunday, 25th February, he arrived Abuja from a journey and came straight to church from the airport with twelve members of his activist group.

He returned for an exclusive meeting with Reverend Tom on Tuesday 27th February, in the company of some members of his group.

Overwhelmed by the expression of Christ’s love, he appreciated our man of God, Reverend Dr. Chris Oyakhilome for his passion for Youth Development and Nation Building, as Reverend Tom highlighted the impact of the InnerCity Mission, Future Africa Leaders’ Foundation, Campus Ministry, Global Youth Leaders’ Forum and ReachOut Nigeria Campaign.

As an activist, Charly Boy constantly demands social and political changes, and accountability in governance in Nigeria. He identifies with, and advocates for the rights of the youth and the ‘common man’ in his usual unconventional style.

He is indeed deeply passionate about this cause and spoke of it with tears in his eyes, hence his joy when he discovered the passion of our man of God, Pastor Chris for the youth, and the lasting impact being made. It opened his eyes to new and more effective ways to channel his passion.

Reverend Tom then ministered to him privately, and he gloriously accepted Christ and was born again. In his new found joy, he requested that Reverend Tom also prays for his group members.

He beamed with smiles as Reverend Tom announced to them, ‘CHARLY BOY IS BORN AGAIN!’ The news was received with joy and excitement, and Reverend Tom also went ahead to lead members of his group to Christ. He also gave them our ministry materials, and presented Charly Boy with a LoveWorld Plus decoder for his home.

What a glaring sign that our prayers have been answered! The Lord is doing great wonders in our midst. There is no limit to the length of the Master’s love…it can reach the farthest soul, even those perceived as ‘unreachable’. It is certainly the month of CHANGE! Glory to God!?
