The tale of a family of five battling mental illness as narrated by a corps member in Cross River State

Some infinities are greater than some infinities they say. There goes the tale of a  family of five on the streets of Ogoja in Cross River State. A corps member currently serving in Ogoja town shared this story on her Facebook account.  Mentally ill people are not rare on any Nigeria street but that of a whole family is definitely not common.  This photo has raised so many questions as it plunges many minds. What do you think of this situation?

Female Youth corper writes about an inseparable family of 5 battling mental illness in Cross River State

According to the corps member:

‘#ONE_BIG_FAMILY_1

This happens to be the weirdest situation I’ve seen in my entire life. I have been trying to get this shot for the past five months and whenever I tried, they either walk past too quickly, change direction, or not just close enough.

At other times I may be on a bike and whenever I ask the cyclist to go slow so I can get a shot of them, he’ll be like “Hmmm, Abeg o, I nor fit stop this bike make u snap o, if the madman catch u, your own Don finish!

And that’s how it went.

The first time I saw them here in Ogoja, my heart melted, I was livid. And my mind wandered, searching for the closest guess as to why a whole family, husband, wife, and three beautiful children would be plagued with INSANITY.
WHY!

My heart could not contain the curiosity, then i began to ask questions. Anytime I drove past them in a car or on a bike, I engage the driver or someone in a conversation about them.

I have seen them trekking long distances under the scorching sun?, I’ve also met them in the market making enquiries about where they could get a particular item to buy.

They’re never separated, always found walking together, complete family. But the intriguing part is their communication. Jeez! This “MAD” family speak CORRECT QUEENS ENGLISH. They flow in CLEAN grammar. Na this one dey burst my head ?

I’ve heard the man instructing one of his children who was walking sluggishly behind him as they trekked down the road; “Hey Dorcas, will you hurry up, C’mon girl, meet up with the pace”. And I marvelled.

At the market he asked someone for directions and he went; “Hey ma’am, Pls where can I get this and this… ”

As you can see their dreadlocks is twisted, showing that it has lasted for God knows how long ? This means that this madness nor be today. E Don tay!

A conversation ensued between him and his wife one day and it turned into an argument, people were listening; you’ll be so shocked when you hear what the content of their argument was?..

Hilarious! Lagos Corps Members Butt-lift Colleague Up Ladder

Watch as these Lagos corps members give helping hand to a colleague.

A video of corps members in Lagos, helping their colleagues up the ladder, is probably the funniest thing you’ll see today.

The plus sized corps member is seen as she struggles to climb up the rope ladder, during Man O’War drill. Though an official was at hand to help her up, her colleagues had to join in when his efforts yielded little or no result. The video however, shows as the corps member cheer the lady who seem determined to make it up the ladder.

Youth Corps Member Escapes Ritualists Thanks to her Physical Deformity

Ever had any reason to question why you are the way you are? do you hate yourself because you were born with a certain condition? This one will make you have a rethink.

Sometimes, our insecurities makes us question why we are the way we are, we sometimes hate ourselves for certain conditions which we did not create for ourselves. Some people even hate or question their parents for answers that are beyond human reasoning. This testimony from an Instagram user is certainly an eye opener for most us.

Juliet is a youth corps member serving in Lagos state. She left her house on Thursday morning to go about her business. It was in the bus that she boarded that she almost met her death but providence already got her covered and she was released when her preys realized that she was born without one palm.

Her post bellow…

”I know it will come as a shocker to you, but I’m glad it will electrocute the devil ????
On thursday morning at about 5am I boarded a bus at my bustop and another man wanted to enter but the conductor refused saying he had 1000naira this early morning but the man didn’t say anything so how did the conductor know? They pretended like they were picking up another but when she tried to enter, they drove off.
The conductor told the man beside me that where is he going to that he paid 30 naira and so he got up trying to point out where he will alight and the next thing was someone grabbed my head, neck , tied my eyes, covered my mouth and I was screaming Jesus and they pulled me to the floor of the bus.
Removed every metal on my body, tied my legs together, touching my private part and he wanted to tie my hands I said while crying that I have gone through a lot in life that they should please have mercy on me.
The bus was silent when they saw my hand and then they started murmuring. The main boss asked them to unfold my eyes and mouth and asked what happened to my hand and I said it was how I was born and I was a (Corps Member) going to my place of primary assignment. He was quite and then told me that they would let me go and cleaned my eyes, gave me my belongings, told me sorry and dropped me off at a point.
Then I appreciated God for moulding me this way from birth because if it was from an accident they might not let me go and if my hand were complete just say bye bye to earth????????
Am sorry God for being ashamed of it but it is the people of the world that always made me feel incomplete ??
