Fathia Balogun celebrated her mother’s funeral this weekend. Nollywood actresses who are friends of the bereaved were in attendance. They include, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Thomas, Laide Bakare, Ronke Odusanya, Ayo Adesanya and many others.

The actress thanked her colleagues and well wishers on behalf of the family on Instagram

Does this picture reveal that actress Fathia Balogun is pregnant?

Well wishers assume that Fathia Balogun is pregnant.

Nollywood actress, Fathia Balogun who, clocked 49 on the 5th of February 2018 is said to be pregnant.  This assumption was based on a photo she posted on Instagram.

She shared a picture of her self in an all black outfit from the premiere of the movie Disguise. The cloth revealed a little bump in her abdomen. Her followers and fans did not take long in noticing this and so they congratulate, although she hasn’t confirmed it yet.

Friends and colleagues wowed by display of love between Fathia Balogun and Saidi Balogun during Mercy Aigbe’s party

Among all the lively and fun things that happened at Mercy Aigbe’s 40th birthday party, the display of love between Saidi Balogun and Fathia Balogun wowed so many.  The duo separated in 2006 and last year they both called a truce.  They have not been avoiding themselves at gatherings and events like they used too. Infact, they have been breaking the internet with their frequent attachment at events.

At Mercy’s party, Saidi sprayed his ex wife money as she danced. This drew a lot of excitement from their colleagues.

Fathia Balogun speaks about the effect(s) of her broken marriage

The actress gave details of how her broken home affected her.

In an interview, beautiful actress, Fathia Balogun talked about her failed marriage, the effect(s) and future projects.

Asked about the lowest point in her life, the actress said:

“Well, I have been through a lot of downs, but the biggest one that took me off my fits was when my marriage crashed. That was the biggest down for me.”

Giving reasons why her second marriage to Saeed Balogun didn’t work, she said:

“Everything about life is about luck and I’d say when I was growing up the only thing that would come to my mind was to have a glamorous wedding, with a wedding train, my 9 to 5 husband, my two children, everybody had plans, but if you go into the first one and it didn’t work and you go into the second one and it didn’t work, that means marriage luck is not by your side and I think I am one of those ones that marriage luck is not by their side.“

“I don’t want to fault anybody because I had my one fault, but I think from my own faults, I adjusted my lifestyle I adjusted everything around me. So, I wanna say some other time I’ll be lucky.”

Asked if she was divorced, the actress said:

“We are not officially divorced, the case is still in court so we are not officially divorced since the court has not officially divorced us, we are not officially divorced.”

Is she getting back with Saeed Balogun?

The actress said she wasn’t bact with the actor as they were just friends as a result of their two kids. She added that they say ‘hi’ to each other when their paths cross.

On the possibility of getting back together, the actress said that fingers should kept be crossed.

The beautiful Yoruba actress stated that she has really improved since she last won the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Change of Name

On why she decided to suddenly change her name, the actress said…

“The name is still my name, my name is Fathia Williams, the name Fathia Balogun…there is no big deal it’s just a branding thing. Someday I am going bear my father’s name,” she confirmed.

Projects

The actress revealed that she is working on new projects which includes a movie and a sub-series.

“I’m working on my first Cinema movie and I have a sub-series that I am shooting soon. That’s what I am working on now,”

Saidi Balogun and Fathia Balogun make up after years of severed relationship

It’s all good to see Saidi Balogun and Fathia Balogun together again.

Saidi Balogun and Fathia Balogun are popular figures in the Nollywood industry. They have featured in thousands of movies especially in the Yoruba movie world. The duo with their good looks and talents, used to be one of Nollywood’s favorite couples until they divorced in 2006.

It was rumored that the celebrities dissolved their marriage following allegations of infidelity from both partners. Ever since then, Saidi and Fathia have not really been seen acting together in movies. Though after their break up, there was a relationship rumor between Saidi and another actress Funke Adesiyan but that also didn’t seem to last long.

Some years ago, it was rumored that there was a rift between Saidi and Fathia over use of name. Saidi Balogun later cleared the air, he said that they went to the court to dissolve the marriage completely and that he didn’t ask Fathia to drop his name which she still uses. He also revealed that they only have two children from the marriage and the speculated 3rd child is from Fathia’s old marriage.

Not only did they not work together on the screen, they also tried avoiding each other in public. Some months back when Saidi celebrated his 50th birthday which tallies with Fathia’s date too, Fathia was absent from the star studded event.

However, things have started patching up for the duo. They have been seen standing and discussing with each other in some events. They were seen discussing at the memorial service of the late Moji Olaiya. Also at a recent birthday celebration of actor Kayode Akindina aka Mr Paragon, Saidi and Fathia were all cordial to each other. They have finally put the past behind them.
