Gideon Okeke complains about bad acting in Nollywood

Gideon Okeke says the reason for bad acting in Nollywood is because people want to be celebrities

Nollywood actor, Gideon Okeke who recently married went on social media to complain about the bad acting in Nollywood.  He regards this problem due to the fact that a lot of them want to be celebrities so, therefore, they forget their purpose. Read his post below:

You see people on TV don’t mean they stopped being Human. Nothing I love to see more, than Actors just doing what everyday people do. LIVING! Where else do you think the MEMORY or experience for the work comes from?

It is only through #TheMethodTechniquethat you’re privileged to put yourself in a situation that you have never lived or experienced before. And even that happens with the aid of #AffectiveMemory which still requires you in some way TO LIVE! (Through your experiences or the experiences of other people, books etc )

I’ve seen alotta BAD ACTING on Nigerian screens simply because alotta folks wanna be Celebrities First.
Forgetting that An ACTOR is an Ordinary guy, with a VERY SPECIAL Job. The People!

TO ACT, YOU MUST LIVE.

Bring your shoulder down or remove the pad!
You Are Not A Rockstar!
Consider Boxing for instance.
BOXING IS A SPORT. BUT YOU DON’T “PLAY BOXING”. YOU BOX!
Are you LIVING? OR IMMITATING
Don’t be a Fugazi. We can see the Fake in your eyes and it hurts.

Nollywood actor, Gideon Okeke, has taken to social media to share some beautiful pre wedding photos of himself and his fiance, Chidera.

With some words of prayer, the actor spoke some positive words into the journey ahead of him and his partner.

He wrote:

Have you ever wondered why when Greatness happens to be on the cusp of unraveling , that’s when a certain West wind of resistance, finds its perfect timing to blow?

Honey’m. Nothing! Nothing will “deshine” the glory moments that are ahead of Us.

I seize this moment to reaffirm to You, ever so defiantly, that we both bear “something-great-about-to-happen”. Grace abounds that we may be empowered, as the wisdom of God, is profitable to direct our paths. Thank you for holding my hand. Here goes…to the Future!
