An open letter from comedian I Go Dye to President Buhari

An open letter from comedian I Go Dye to President Buhari

Comedian I Go Dye tackles President Buhari on corruption in this letter.

“Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari
As madact Ambassador on make A Difference Against Corruption Today, it has expanded my passion to speak. It saddens my heart that after 58 years all sectors of our social
and economic lives has been plunged in failure. Over the years, millions of graduates continue to wade through trying times, while youths with creative artistry, artisans and our young women have been denied the true values of nationhood, self esteem has been destroyed, many weep and sleep on a daily basis without a meal

Sir,
The funds recovered from looters in the past fews years of your government is 739 billion Naira, Abacha recovered returned loot is 322,000,000 dollars equivalent of 112billion naira Totalling 851 billion naira. why was the Abacha returned loots shared? Who are the beneficiaries? Why wasn’t the returned and recovered loots used to finance some of the basic social problems like electricity, repairing our refineries and creating jobs for our youths, build a world class hospital that can reduce the travelling expenses of Nigerians travelling abroad for medical treatment?

Sir, if our hospitals were well equipped, you won’t be involved in foreign trips for medical check ups. When you eventual leave office, which hospital would be standard enough to offer you this services and to other Nigerians? Who are the looters that returned the said amount ? How come they are not facing criminal charges or being jailed? How come politicians alleged with 232 billion naira cases of corruption are working for your re-election? Is it Only those that are with you, that are the presumed saints?
Your Excellency, our budgets for the last 3 years of your government 2016 (6.07 trillion),2017 (7.298trillion, )2018 ( 9.12 trillion)
Total 22.488 trillion naira, yet we do not have access to ordinary clean water, with escalated hunger in the land. In 2015, Nigerian was ranked 3rd among the poorest nations index but today in 2018, Nigeria is now ranked number number 1 people living in poverty in world overtaking India .That is why Nigerians are complaining.”

Comedian, I Go Dye Speaks about Nigerian Politics in Parables

Nigerian comedian, I Go Dye, never minces words when he has to speak on any topic and lately, the nation’s politics seem to have peeked his interest.

In a recent post on his Instagram page, the comedian chose to speak in parables. This was in a bid to share his thoughts on the issue of ‘godfatherism’ in Nigerian politics.

I Go Dye says politicians should share in the suffering of the masses.

He wrote;

We when old for village na parable we take dey talk.

Nigeria ,When political battles are drawn, the end is often predicated on what the masses have gained; irrespective of who calls the shots. It’s a simple analogy; every time the flocks go out feeding,or seen walking aimlessly for food,at the appropriate time the shepherd would led them back to his own destination, just like the delegate.
Treat all men with humility ,by sharing in their sufferings and pains,so that when the confrontations come, the masses will stand beside you. Political godfathers are made indisputable when their anointed one’s fail to feel his own pain not the pain of the masses, otherwise no one is greater than the will of the people so when you ignored the masses, you are on your own lane, always show your people love and selfless sacrifices. Very well said though.

Comedian I Go Dye urges people to motivate others

While performing on stage, Comedian I Go Dye was approached by a young boy who narrated his ordeal of being broke to attend school. The comedian offered to sponsor the boy’s education and he shared on Instagram.

”Regardless of the amount paid for any labour,we should always treat the labourer with care, love and respect.Because there is dignity in purposeful labour; let’s collectively work to build our families, society and the nation of our dream through efficient and diligent service.
Social empowerment can be sustained in our little , when people are given the right to speak and privilege to work,as I have often encountered with many of our youths.
Most of whom are driven by the passion to work, but with less opportunities to satisfy the teeming unemployed youths.
We have to bridge the gap,in our little ways,as i use this medium to express; that i will be offering educational and motivational support to the youths who forced their way on stage in @iamharrysong #kingmakerconcert2018Warri over the weekend, seeking support.
Indeed, their faith have seen them through,
Please if you can help me reach the particular guy that said he wants to go to school, please give me his contact, because I have accepted to take responsibility and offer him a scholarship to the university that he has intention to attend.
In our little ways,we can obviously build our world to the place of our dreams.
May the labour of our heroes past, not be in vain,Let us strive as a people to reduce the stress facing the youths, most especially the none payment of pension and entitlements to our aged parents, retired civil servants and ex – servicemen who have given so much to the Nation.”

An open letter from comedian I Go Dye to Atiku Abubakar on the 2019 election

“Don’t use sentimental empathy on the youths”

Comedian I Go Dye wrote an open letter to former vice president, Atiku Abubakar as he plans to contest for the 2019 presidency. See what he wrote below:

‘Don’t use sentimental empathy on the youths to express your political ambitions.
Sir, you are one of those that have immensely benefited from Nigeria since your birth in 1946.
Having worked for 20years with the Nigeria Customs where you retired at the age of 43 in 1989 as Deputy Director, your bucket list sure looks good because you were obviously employed at youth 23.
In 1999 you became governor of Adamawa and ultimately the Vice President, all of these you achieved at 53. What did you do during your time in that exalted position? When will the youths like in your time get a chance? am motivated to speak, based on your statement : A party that does not take the youths into account is a dying party. The future belong to young. Please which of the future?
Remarkably, between 1999 and 2007 that you were the Vice president of Nigeria, it is recorded that tertiary institutions witnessed several strikes that wasted seventeen months ,three weeks and three days.Within this period, what did you do?
If social support were given to youths then, their children will be between 18 and 20years during the 2019 elections, obviously they would have willingly voted for you or anyone that you endorse in 2019.This is the essence of making sacrifices for the future generation.
You cannot be credited to have been a philanthropic to the youths.
The recent revocation of the NPA contract with Intel, your company,is the major issue.
As a company either, the people in the region you operated cannot accredit Intel to have provided credible support for the youths or built skills acquisition centers to curb unproductivity as part of it’s cooperate social responsibility , which has resulted to many youths embarking on the sub- sahara deserts route treking to Europe, which has claimed many lives.
Your excellency, sir Atiku Abubakar, please don’t use sentimental empathy on the youths to express your political ambitions, because by 2019 the youths are preparing to substantiate the real economical, political and progressive change.
I kindly recommend that you should advocate for process that will afford us
the opportunity of a youthful leadership in the 2019 election. Thanks Amb Francis’
