Ireti Doyle commends Davido, says if everyone had been like Davido, the last 2 decades would have been different

Davido acquire the praises of Actress Ireti Doyle for his political support in Osun State

Actress Ireti Doyle seems to be quite taken by the political act of Davido in Osun State. Davido, who is currently serving his father’s land, is an ardent supporter of his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke a governorship aspirant in Osun State. Actress Ireti wrote:

‘”the way i see it, if a quarter of us got involved and pursued our political preferences with as much passion, single-mindedness, loyalty, doggedness and “we die here” fervour that Davido has displayed and sustained over the last several days, it’s safe to say that the last 2 decades probably wouldn’t have gone down the way they have and we probably wouldn’t be in the current socio-political situation we are in.

‘It doesn’t matter how cerebral or articulate you are; back seat driving and arm chair political analysis don’t change a thing. Everyone is analysing what A, B, C and D are doing, the real question is what are you doing? How are you getting involved? What is your political preference and how are you ensuring that you are effectively represented?
Alas, classic Nigerianese, you no go do, person wey gree do will be damned for doing..Na so! Davido has found his “why”. I am PVC ready currently on the look out for my “why”. A candidate who’s politics I agree with, who I feel I can trust’.

“Being polite, soft spoken and demure is not fake neither is it a weakness” – Ireti Doyle

Actress Ireti Doyle talks about almost being rejected for her first TV commercial because of her skin color

Actress Ireti Doyle shared an inspiring beauty message, on loving your skin and personality. Read below:

I shot my 1st tv commercial over two decades ago. It was a major deal for an upcoming actor; for the visibility and the pay check.
I nearly lost that gig for being the wrong skin colour. I didn’t match the client rep’s “ideal”.
Thankfully, the director, Mr. Wale Fanu wasn’t a push over. He told the chap to let him do his thing or take him off the project.
Fast forward 20yrs, “Melanin Poppin” has become a # and the dark skinned girl is having her day in the sun.
It might take a little while longer, but eventually it will be clear that “loud and obnoxious” is not quite the same as “bold and audacious”…And that being polite, soft spoken and demure, is not “fake”; neither is it a “weakness”. ?@kelechiamadiobi (AMVCA 2016)
