Some people however, mistook the actor for his brother Kunle, who seems to be more popular than himself.

The October 1st producer has therefore now taken to social media to clear the air on the case of mistaken identity.

Kunle Afolayan distances himself from Aremu Afolayan’s rant.

In a social media post, the actor noted that he has gotten several messages and tags, as regards the video. Noting that he isn’t the one in the video, he stated that his brother, it is his brother, Aremu.

Good morning all,

I have been receiving a lot of calls and comments from people who are mistaken me for Aremu Afolayan in regards to this video.

I would like to officially state that this is not Kunle Afolayan, he is my brother not me.

There is frustration in the land but hey!

Thank you.

Ire.

Some social media users were however, quick to point out the fact that he does not show solidarity to his brother. This, therefor made him edit his post to read:

For clarity purpose. I think it is imperative I clear the air.
Aremu Afolayan is the one in this video and not Kunle Afolayan.

People have been responding to the video and tagging my handles as I have also received some calls.
Oloun a so’lu dero.

Kunle Afolayan asks if there is any correlation between Religion and the beach

Kunle Afolayan asks if there is any correlation between Religion and the beach

This is what Kunle Afolayan thinks about religion and the beach

Growing up, I really wasn’t too certain about religion. Sometimes, I do follow neighbours to Mosque (Ile Keny) especially during fasting period as there surely will be free food and that enabled me learn a few aaya verses in the Quran.

My mother at that time used to pray a lot in Jesus name but she wasn’t much of a church goer because they travel a lot touring my father’s films.
There were times when she handed us over to her friend who lived close by and happened to be attending Cherubim and seraphim church and I remembered vividly that my brother Sinca and I joined “Omo ogun Igbala “Salvation Army” at some point and followed a group to Bar beach to pray a few times.

Some of our neighbour in Alagomeji were attending Celestial church of Christ and there was a big Church of the lord Aladura on our street in Alagomeji/sabo. My closeness to the Kalesanwo family also allowed me some adventures to Ori Oke Tabora and a few times at the same Bar beach.

The traditional believers like the Olokun and Yemoja worshipers most times do their Spiritual cleansing at the Beach or sea side.

Is there any corollation with Beach thing?
I want to learn

Kunle Afolayan Targets Oscars with his New Movie, Mokalik

Renowned Nollywood producer, Kunle Afolayan, has revealed that his upcoming movie, Mokalik, is nothing like the regular.

According to him, the movie is meant to tell the world that education isn’t just limited to the classrooms. It is a story that’s dear to his heart, he said and he is not looking at commercializing it. Though it is an indigenous movie, he is targeting the Oscars with it, he said.

Kunle Afolayan also speaks on female actors offering sex for movie roles.

Noting that such has never happened to/with him before, he revealed that no one has the guts to come to him with such. Though he has heard that female actors are ready to give anything for movie roles, he hasn’t encountered it befog, he said.

He however, noted that he will wave it off if such ever happens to him.

Excerpts from the interview below;

I am not shooting this as a commercial film, I am targeting Oscars and that is why it is an indigenous film. This is a story close to my heart.

Personally I have never encountered a situation whereby an actress would offer me sex for a movie role. They would not even dare come to me. They say that I am proud.

The social media may have some advantages, but it also has a lot of disadvantages. It is only in the past that people would say that a director asked an actress for sex in exchange for a movie role. These days, some actresses would reach out to the movie director or producer and tell him that they would do anything just to be in the film.

Hardly would they say such to me. Such a thing does not come to me and if it ever happens, I will just wave it aside. I will not respond.

The upcoming movie features singer, Simi and reality star, Tobi Bakare.
