Osita Iheme to Chinedu Ikedieze-“An Honest Friend is a Precious Gift”

Growing up in the early 2000s, watching Osita Iheme and Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki and Pawpaw) on screens were among the greatest delight of an average Nigerian kid.

Little did anyone know that from screen twins, they have metamorphosed into lifetime friends. Considering the easy fallout that has become a trend among industry friends, this is commendable. Well, not only did their heights bring them together, their talents did well in sealing their friendship.

In a recent post on Instagram, Osita has however, commended the honesty of his friend, Chinedu. Sharing a picture of him and his friend, he noted how precious an honest friend is.

Osita Iheme and Chinedu Ikezie popularly known as Aki and Pawpaw are actors who contributed a change to Nollywood comedy movies. Since their debut in 2002, both actors have been rocking all weathers together. Although, they don’t really appear together on screen like before, their relationship as not changed.

Actor Osita took to his Instagram to appreciate his friendship with The Johnsons star. He wrote:

“I don’t have any issues with Osita Iheme”- Chinedu Ikezie

There has been speculations that a river has passed across Osita Ihemie and Chinedu Ikezie popularly known as Aki and PawPaw. In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Chinedu denied the rumors and said they still have great chemistry.

He said:

“I just finished shooting a film with my friend, Pawpaw. We have not been working together like in the past because we are both engaged in different projects. I am still shooting The Johnsons family series. When they gave us a month break, I quickly went to shoot two films with Pawpaw. I have kept many producers waiting, but some of them looked for other options. I am busy; Pawpaw is busy too. We don’t have any problem.I don’t like people carrying rumours, which explains why I don’t grant interviews any longer. The chemistry between me and Pawpaw is still there on and off the screen as he is more like a brother to me.”

Osita Iheme might lead this country someday

Nollywood actor, Osita Iheme popularly known as pawpaw in an interview with Punch said he is still on his political ambition. The actor inspires to be in a political realm someday.

Pawpaw who usually plays the brother of Aki in Nollywood  said:

‘while growing up, I didn’t have anything particular in mind that I wanted to do. I just grew up and found myself acting. Like I said earlier, I started my acting career in church and from there, I picked up the interest to become an international actor’.

Aki continued by saying: ‘by the special grace of God, I still have a political ambition. I have always wanted to be a leader so as to provide good things for my people. There is something that keeps pushing me to do that and I cannot seem to shrug it off. I know that when the time is right, the dream would become a reality’.
