Nigerian singer, Reekado Banks, has in a recent tweet spoken against tribals sentiments, noting that people are gradually becoming tribalistic.
According to him, soon, people will be taken back to the old order. He, therefore, noted that the hate that is currently brewing will soon degenerate. When it does, people will no longer allow their kids to marry from a different tribe, just like the older generation, he said.

Nigerian singer, Reekado Banks, over the weekend, took to Twitter to reveal that he voted during the February 23rd Presidential and National Assembly election.
Noting that he had exercised his electoral franchise, the singer revealed that it is pointless to be an activist if one isn’t going to participate in the process.
His tweet was, however, interpreted by his followers as one directed at Davido. Recall, therefore, that the singer was at the forefront during the campaigns. Asides campaigning for his prefered candidate, he also encouraged people to vote and defend their votes.
The singer was, however, in South Africa during the election. This earned him criticism from different angles.

After five years of nurturing and thriving under the umbrella of Don Jazzy’s Mavins Records, singer, Reekado Banks has annkounced that he is set to take a bow out of the group.
This was in a n emotional post which he shared on his Instagram page.
Thanking his team mates, the singer says he has come to the realization that family isn’t only those that are related by blood.
To his former boss whom he said took him like a father, the singer says he is grateful.
He is ecstatic about the possibilities of the future, he said, adding that is is time to move on to greater things.

Popuar Nigerian singers, Kizz Daniel and Reekado Banks do not seem to be on the same page and no one knew about it.
This is only coming to light after Harrysong tried to feature the both of them together in a song. According to the singer who spoke to Punch, immediately the former G-Worldwide act got wind of the fact that the Mavin star was in the song, he asked to pull out.
Both singers had recorded their verses separately but when Kizz found that Reekado was also featured, he withdrew from the song, stating that he did not give consent for his voice to be used. All efforts to get him to go ahead proved abortive as he was bent on not working with the Mavin star.
Sources however note that this disparity is not unrelated to the 2015 headies award. Recall that Reekado won the next rated award over Kizz Daniel and Lil’ Kesh. This had sparked a lot of controversy among celebrities and fans.
Reekado Banks was however quoted to have said he was better that the other nominees in the category. This probably must have gotten to Kizz, hence, his reaction.
They recorded their verses separately. The moment he realised that Banks was on the song was when he started saying he didn’t want to be a part of it anymore. We initially thought it was something we could resolve amicably as friends in the industry but Daniel insisted that he didn’t want to be part of it. He frustrated every move to reconcile them.Because of that, we decided to do another version of the song with Iyanya and Dice Ailes. Kizz Daniel was just being arrogant about the whole thing and behaving like he is a demigod. We don’t really know the issue between them but it must be a long-standing feud. He said he didn’t want to be on any song that Reekado was featured on. He refused all our entreaties.
Popular Mavins singer, Reekado Banks took to his Insta story to talk about women’s plight. In his own opinion, he said most ladies are after money and don’t really realize their value.

The couple who got married in 2017, took to social media to announce the birth of their little one.

Mavin star, Reekado Banks has finally opened up about his relationship status with his industry colleague, Lil Kesh. This is coming after several attempts by the media, at getting the singer to speak on his friendship or enmity (as the case may be) with the singer.
Reekado, had lashed out at Kesh last year at his ‘Thank You’ concert in Ibadan. Whrn asked what the reason for his outburst was, the Mavin star stated that he was still pined by the incidents of the 2015 Headies Award.
He isn’t exactly friends with Lil Kesh, neither is he his enemy, he said.

Mavin artist, Reekado Banks has announced that he is expecting a child. The expectant singer took to Instagram to share the news of the coming baby with his fans. Though the baby belongs to his brother Temi, Reekado seems to be happy with the knowledge of being an uncle soon. From his post, one would easily assume that he fathered the baby.
Posing beside the very pregnant girlfriend of his brother, Reekado made the announcement with the caption; “Our baby is coming cc @de_mure_.”

According to a report by LIB, Mavin singer, Reekado Banks has been dragged to court by an unsatisfied client.
The singer reportedly received Two Million Naira to perform at an event in Benin City, but failed to show up. This is the reason why the client identified as OAP, Uwa Idahosa decided to drag the singer and his manager to the Police.
As at press time, the concerned parties are said to be gathered at the Ogba Area Police Station in Lagos.
The report further claims that Uwa Idahosa had earlier contacted the singer through his manager to demand a refund. The manager, Temi, allegedly agreed to make a refund of only 800,000 Naira, because it was all they could refund. This is because according to the manager, they had also incurred logistics costs as well.
The OAP is said to have been the one that contracted the singer on the couple’s behalf.
The report states that Reekado Banks’ Manager, Uwa Idahosa and the couple’s relatives are at the police station to demand a refund. The case is still under investigation by the police.
