Between Seyi Law and a troll who questions his tribute to Tosyn Bucknor

As so many celebrities are taking their time to pen their tributes to Tosyn Bucknor some people find it offensive and hypocritical. That is what comedian Seyi Law experienced with a follower who thinks it’s the wrong time to his tribute.

SeyiLaw: “I am not sure your energy was comparable. You were one of the kindest persons, I have ever seen. You were too adorable. You were the life of the party. A voice that gave beauty to our radio. You were one of the best human beings, I have ever known.
Tosin Bucknor, I celebrate your impacts and what you stood for.
Heaven has yet again robbed us of an angel. May your soul find peace and be beautiful in the bosom of our Lord.
Rest on and well, my dearest sister.”

“My Heart Raced, my Home was Shaky”- Seyi Law on what he’s been through this Year

Seyi Law say he was abandoned by most of the people he worked with this year.

Ace comedian, Seyi Law, has taken to Instagram to reveal some of the adversaries he has faced this year. According to him, the year has been a tough one but he relied on the word of God.

Though he had a great show, she lost money. H even contemplated cancelling some shows and selling his lands, he said.

All those he worked with seem to have abandoned him this year, he noted.

God is my rock and my refuge whom shall I fear. Our testimony is huge and no man can share in the glory of what God did, is doing and is going to do. Tears of Joy filled my eyes and my mouth is in awe of God’s faithfulness. All the people and brand that I have worked for seem to have abandoned me this year.

I travelled out of Nigeria for my shows, had a great show but lost a lot of money.
My heart raced, my home was shaky, but I kept faith. I contemplated stopping my shows and selling some of our lands, but you know God reminded me of the word He gave me in November, 2017. In May, just about a month to buying this house, I had just N63k in my account, having invested in my shows and by my 35th Birthday on the 22nd June, 2018, God did what only him could have done.

If your heart is in a troubled place, there is a God who is Jehovah Shalom. He knows and if you can trust him, he will do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ever imagine. Your help is in God and not man, for Him alone can and will speak to the hearts of the men that he has chosen for you. Trust in Him alone.
Praise God for me.

SEYILAW testifies.

Seyi Law gives hint on why many celebrity marriages crash

Seyi Law speaks about celebrity marriage in interview

In an interview with Punch, popular Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law gave hints on why many celebrity marriages crash.

He said: “The truth of the matter is that we get to see celebrity break-ups because they are always in the limelight. We have celebrities that have stayed together in marriages but people hardly talk about them. They like talking about the bad ones.Celebrity marriage break-up is like plane crashes. We hardly talk about flights that took off safely and landed safely. So, break-ups happen everywhere in all professions; but people don’t talk about them because they are not in the limelight. Marriage institution is sweet and tedious at the same time, we just keep hoping that we’ll keep understanding one another.”

He also said: He said; “A lot of people know that comedy is lucrative. If you see how far I’ve come, then you’ll know how lucrative the profession is. This is basically the business I do. I got married out of it. I am able to take good care of my family. So, I will say it’s quite good.”

Seyi Law begs Nigerians to forgive Efe, said he reacted out of anger

Seyi Law begs for Efe

The 2017 winner of Big Brother Naija, Efe, in a series of posts on Twitter, said he is done pleasing his fans who do nothing but criticize him. He said he is done pleasing them as their money expired the day BBN ended. Ofcourse, Nigeria tagged him ungrateful after the post. Now comedian Seyi Law pleads on his behalf on social media.

See his post below…

“When the world hurts you in criticism in the name of fans and wants you to take it in good faith, forgetting that words kill faster than the guns, but won’t take your words in the same light. When the world makes a man lose his willpower to his own choice and don’t expect him to fight back, but would prefer he is drained in their own choice. The sadness and fear that enveloped me is killing.
There is no doubt there is a place for the fans and as an artiste, you must be cautious of how you walk there. @efemoney has spoken out of anger and made a mistake which might be justified, but could be avoided. We all make mistakes and he who is above them can crucify me. He has chosen a path for himself and you care too much trying to help him avoid mistakes, don’t be the one to make him make more of it.
Let’s forgive him and let him grow and he might just learn to do it right or decide to let it get all go, but let him have a say in his own life. I apologise on his behalf to those hurt and hope we can all embrace peace.

Every man to his life, let him live. God bless you.
SEYILAW.”

Baby Tiwa, Seyi Law’s Daughter Empties Account to Support Kemi Olunloyo’s Medical Fundraiser

Seyi Law donates generously to the blogger’s plea for help.

Though Seyi Law and controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo have not always been best of friends, the comedian has extended his generous hands to her. this is as a response to Kemi’s plea for help following her deteriorating health after her release from the Port Harcourt prison.

The blogger took to her IG page to appreciate the comedian and his daughter. She wrote;

One would recall that the fallout between Kemi and Seyi occurred after the blogger took to her IG page to call the baby ‘obese and diabetic’. The comedian didn’t waste time to respond to the bogger. This was followed by series unpleasant exchange between the two. Kemi finally apologized so both personalities sheathed their swords.

Seyi Law’s generous act is a clear indication that the comedian holds nothing against the embattled journalist who have been to jail for the third time within a year.

Comedian, Seyilaw Dishes Words of Advice to Nigerian Couples

You will be thrilled by the comedian’s perspective of the marriage subject.

In the heat of the debate as regards who is eligible to give marriage advice and who is not, comedian, Seyilaw took to his instagram page to give his perspective about the marriage question stating that the fact that one has spent 50 years in marriage does not make him eligible to give marriage advice to one who has spent just two years in marriage adding that marriage isn’t a religious institution but a cultural and traditional institution. His statement below.

Marriage is an institution and not an entity. Institutions are not wrong, but the people who make up the institutions are the ones whose wrongs and rights define the institutions. The fact that you have spent 9 years in a university doesn’t mean you are a forbearer of the knowledge to attaining a First Class like a jambite who came prepared to achieve the feat. A man who is 50 years in marriage might not be in the best position to dish marriage advices than a man who is just 2 years. The 50 years married man might only have enjoyed a longevity that is sustained by a woman who is highly tolerant and endured much because she has huge limit of long suffering whilst the 2 years married man might just the man who knows how to tickle his wife to submission, accept her wrong and bear her pain.

Marriage is not a MUST, but choice. It is the bad choices some people make that they try to define marriage by. It is not everybody who can shoot that can be in the MILITARY, neither is the CHOIR for all who can. You can wax a GLOBAL AWARD WINNING ALBUM without passing through the choir, the same you can have lovely KIDS without being married. When you come into marriage and fail, deal with your wrongs and stop blaming MARRIAGE. Marriage NEVER forces you to come in, people or you made the choice of force to be in marriage. If my marriage fails tomorrow, I should be able to reflect on my mistakes and not use my marriage as a yardstick to discourage others from getting married.

It takes a bold step to get out of a marriage. If you want out because you are out of breath, please do and stop looking for an oxygen mask in the dark. Don’t be too self righteous to suppress your partner’s feelings for your own selfishness. The same wisdom that teaches you to LOVE, also acknowledge FLIGHT in the presence of DANGER, after all, wisdom is born out of fear. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom not the everything of wisdom. The fear of death in marriage is the beginning of wisdom to DIVORCE.

Marriage is not a RELIGION institution, it is a CULTURAL and TRADITIONAL institution. Marriage is not formalised by PRIEST and IMAM, but by the agreement of both PARENTS and the COUPLE. Even JESUS at the wedding in Cana was a GUEST. He understood the cultural background and that was why he wasn’t against their choice of drinks. Don’t allow people’s RELIGIOUS opinion kill you in MARRIAGE. I don’t want to talk too much. Some other time. Like the Yoruba statement, ile aye da, awon eda adamo lo so ile aye dogun translated as the world is good, it is the human in it that turned it to war.
