The singer took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the rate of divorce these days.

Timi Dakolo seems to be enjoying his marriage with his wife, Busola Dakolo so he feels that marital Vows are not one to be broken so easily. Here’s what he wrote.

THE WAY PEOPLE ARE MAKING DIVORCE LOOK LIKE SOMETHING KOOL.. . LIKE YOUR MARRIAGE VOW MEANS NOTHING.. IT MAKES ME WONDER WHAT THEY THOUGHT FOR BETTER FOR WORSE MEANT.. IF YOU WEREN’T SURE.. WHY DID U GO AHEAD? DON’T GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME .. YOU GUYS ARE THE PROBLEM NOT THAT MARRIAGE IS BAD.. THIS SHALLOW AND IMPATIENCE GENERATION.. FIX YOURSELF.. MARRIAGE IS FOR TWO COMPLETE ADULTS .. DON’T ENTER INTO IT WITH YOUR INCOMPLETE SELF… MARRIAGE WILL NOT MAKE AN INCOMPLETE PERSON COMPLETE… YOU SHOULD COME INTO IT PREPARED AND COMPLETE ..BUT WHAT DO I KNOW?, AM I NOT JUST A MUSICIAN?

Well, the post certainly didn’t go down well with Uti, Tony Payne and Daddy Freeze as they all came for the singer with the speed of light. Read their reactions below.

Timi Dakolo Speaks on Tithing, Dissociates himself from Daddyfreeze

The singer took to Instagram to advice Christians on tithing and following church leaders blindly.

Timi Dakolo, yesterday, advised Christians to stop following pastors blindly, rather, he advised that they follow Christ and stop building dreams round their pastors. He also gave an insight on what the Bible says about the payment of tithes which is contrary to present day practice among Christians. He wrote:

LET ME JUST CHALLENGE YOUR MIND A LITTLE BIT.. ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE BUILDING YOUR DREAM OR THE PASTOR’S OWN.. THE VISION YOU ARE RUNNING WITH ..IS IT YOURS OR THE PASTORS OWN?
I AM TIRED OF ALL THIS PASTOR SAID THIS ..PASTOR SAID THAT PEOPLE.. WHAT IS GOD SAYING..? LEAVE PASTOR AND FOLLOW JESUS .. PLEASE KNOW GOD FOR YOURSELF… THAT’S MATURITY.

AND ANOTHER MATTER..WHEN THE BIBLE SAID.. PAY YOUR TITHES AND OFFERING .. IT DIDN’T STOP THERE O.. BUT WE ALMOST ALWAYS STOP THERE.. IT GOES ON TO SAY .. SO THAT THERE WILL BE MEAT ENOUGH IN THE HOUSE.. AND WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE THE BIBLE WAS TALKING ABOUT?
SHA LET ME KEEP QUIET.. WHAT DO I KNOW.. AM I NOT JUST A MUSICIAN..

Reacting to a fan who likened the singer’s post to what OAP, Daddyfreeze has been saying about tithes, Timi stated clearly that he isn’t saying the same thing with Daddyfreeze.

Winner, The Voice Nigeria Talks About the Pressures of Being a Winner

Winner of the just concluded music talent show, The Voice Nigeria, talks on his plans to further his music career, the pressures on him and the most valuable advice he received from his coach, Timi Dakolo.

In an interview with Pulse TV, the song star said that he has so many pieces of advice coming at him from various angles so it is often difficult because he also has opinions for himself.

Excerpts from the interview below…

I saw Timi not just as a coach, I saw him as a brother and as a colleague. I connected to Timi Dakolo, his music and his personality.

He repeatedly said this: “You’re are as good as your last performance. So whenever you hit that stage, you have to leave an impression.”

He said, “Music always leaves an impression, so you should at every point in time, leave an impression.” Those words stuck in my head.

So whenever I go on stage, I always remember those words.

Asked the kind of album he wishes to produce, he said, “I want my album to be Ideal. I want my album to be unexpected. I want my album to cut across every genre of music, race, and every kind of lifestyle.

There’s going to be songs that you listen to and you want to nod your head. There’s going to be songs that you listen to and you become very sober. There’s going to be songs that you listen to and it turns on that party mood in you.”

“I feel pressured because right now, I’m in the spotlight and everybody has an opinion. This person is telling you this, the other person is telling you that, and you want to do something else.

There’s a lot of pressure on me, but that’s what we bargained for. I will just let it flow naturally.”
