Tiwa Savage Gets Robbed on her Way to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State Capital

Tiwa Savage calls FAAN to be accountable for safety.

Nigerian Pop Star, Tiwa Savage in Tweets revealed that she was robbed on her way to Uyo. She noted that their luggages were stolen from the cargo while their plane was still on the runway. According to her, the pilot noted that the cargo hold light had come on.

The singer then expressed her fears over the security of passengers. She however noted that someone might have as well walked in to plant a bomb in the plane just as their luggages have been stolen.

She wrote;

So our plane lands and while we are still on the runway, someone opens the cargo hold and steals our luggages. Pilot said he saw the cargo hold light come on. How is this possible

Someone can just walk on a runway and steal luggages from a plane. That could have been a bomb someone would just put in there.

How is this safe??? FAAN this means anyone including terrorists can have access to planes.

Tiwa Savage Responds to Criticisms on her Preference to Perform Barefooted

Tiwa Savage chooses not to conform to the norm.

It looks like singer, Tiwa Savage is comfortable with performing barefooted. It has now become more obvious that she is unapologetic about her choice. Whatever rocks her boat, isn’t it?

Nigerians chose to tell Tiwa what’s better for her but she certainly is having none of it. The singer, in her normal style performed barefooted at the just concluded AFRIMA Awards and some people feel it’s wrong so they took to social media to call her attention to it. In reaction to the trolls, Tiwa made it clear that her comfort comes first as she is paying no mind to the opinions.

Tiwa Savage Talks Taking Over Music Industry in New Interview

When it comes to feminine voices in the Nigerian music industry, Tiwa Savage’s is certainly one that could be likened to that of a nightingale.

In a recent interview with Guardian Life Magazine, Tiwa Savage talks about her goals, inspirations and aspirations.

Excerpts from the interview below.

On moving back home and setting the pace: At that time there weren’t many other female artists in a similar musical lane as me. There were a lot of restrictions and it seemed that people were not ready for a female act who was very comfortable in her own skin to be making music in Nigeria.

On her ultimate goal as an artist: Ultimately my goal as an artist is to show young women, particularly young African women, that with hard work and belief in yourself, there is nothing you cannot achieve. I want to leave a legacy that proves that. I want young women to proudly say “If Tiwa could achieve that, so can I.

On women she’s inspired to be like: There are so many queens doing amazing things in the world right now…They (Oprah, Ava Duvernay, Shonda Rhimes) have shattered the glass ceiling for black women in film and TV…She (Bozoma ‘Boz’ Saint ) was one of the top executives at Apple Music and was recently made the Chief Brand Officer at Uber in the U.S.

She is one of the perfect examples of strong women who show that hard work pays, and the fact that she is an African-born woman is even more inspiring to me. She’s a respected boss, a businesswoman and manages to look fabulous whilst juggling it all.

On how she has remained positive throughout her career: My mother has always told me that, in this life, God only gives you what you can handle. It was a very trying time but God in His infinite mercies gave me the grace to see it through. It only made me stronger.

Tiwa’s strength is certainly one to take her places and it is no question that she is going to keep dishing us top notch music for a long time.

Last week Don Jazzy posted a picture of Mavins Boss Lady, Tiwa Savage, with a caption that says she farts a lot. Though the singer did not reply to her Boss’s message, she decided to open up in an interview with The Guardian Nigeria.

The beautiful singer graces the cover of the latest issue of The Guardian Nigeria.  She revealed that she is comfortable with farting anywhere, when talking about three things that people do not know about  her.

She said:

“I’m very comfortable with my excretion of bodily gases. I feel like you need to let things go. Offload your burden“.

Actor Seun Jimoh Throws his Weight Behind Tiwa Savage Amidst Gender Equality Debates

Tiwa Savage probably took Nigerian feminists by surprise when she asserted that the man is the head of the home.

The statement sparked a lot of online argument between those who believe men and women are equal and those who like Tiwa, believe that the man is the head of the family.

Seun Jimoh who took to Instagram to react to the backlash suffered by Tiwa Savage after her comments at the interview with OAP Toolz. The actor in Tiwa’s defense  stated that any woman who thinks the man is not the  head of the home has no business getting married.

He wrote:

”Tiwa savage said the man is the head of the home, some people are abusing her. anyone who thinks otherwise has no business getting married or being in a proper heterosexual relationship, the fact that you are a successful woman doesn’t mean you shouldn’t cook or clean , it is no excuse, I have successful women around me and they cook great, in time and as a duty. A respected husband is always a better husband, you can argue and fight all you want about this issue on social media, but the reality is the reality , a woman that cannot respect and acknowledge that her husband is the head has no business getting married and if she does should not be shocked if she eventually has to leave the marriage sooner or later . A disrespected man will either beat you or leave you except the man has no value in himself. we will talk about the man another day”.

Tiwa Savage wants her Son to be a Ball Player so he can buy her a Retirement Home

The singer who earlier talked about how her son keeps getting attracted to music disclosed this in an interview with Tools on Beat FM.

Tools shared highlights and quotes fro the mid-day radio show where she had the singer as a guest. Extracts below…

Tiwa doesn’t want her son to feel pressured to do music because that’s what she’s doing and he’s a little shy. If he’s dancing and he catches you watching him, he’d stop.

She would love for her son to be a ball player (basketball or soccer), so he can buy her a retirement home.

She and TeeBillz are doing whatever they are doing privately and it’s going to remain private.

She is working on a song with Coldplay.

The day she had her son is the day she’d never forget. It was a 22 hour labour and she has a lot of scars on her body to remind her.

If she were not in the entertainment industry, she wouldn’t have tried to lose weight. She is embracing her stretch marks, she has a pouch and she isn’t going to  do surgery to get rid of it.

Per gender discrimination, she believes women are to be strong and career wise and all that but when they are home, she believes the men are the heads of the house and men and women are not equal.

If she were a guy, she would get away with a lot more. If she were a male artist, she wouldn’t have as much flack.

Jam is certainly growing well and fast, we hope to see him do whatever he will love to do in future well.

Tiwa Savage makes the List of BBC’s 100 most Inspirational and Influential Women of 2017

The music songbird shared the information with a lot of excitement on her Instagram page earlier today.

She wrote, ”OMG OMG OMG this is incredible… BBC unveiled their list of 100 inspirational and innovative women of 2017 and I made the list… The list includes NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson and President Michelle Bachelet of Chile. It’s true when they say your brightest moments usually comes after your darkest times. Keep your head up and work hard through it. The same people laughing at you will celebrate you. Don’t let being a woman hinder you, I have and still have to fight to get to people to respect and to appreciate my work and not limit me because I am female so this really encourages me to keep pushing and breaking boundaries. Put God first, enjoy your life, love, be a good human and do what makes you happy. Don’t let anything hold you back because you are a mother, wife, young, older or a female ”YOU CAN NEVER LEAVE A FOOTPRINT THAT WILL LAST IF YOU ARE ALWAYS WORKING ON TIPTOES” Laymar Gbowee”. 

The 37 year old Singer is also a songwriter and philanthropist and an integral member of the Afrobeats scene and plans to open a music school.

Tiwa Savage who experienced dark times in the past because of alleged marital problems is happy to walk the way of other great women as her efforts have been recognized in the World circle.

Those that made the list this year, will be part of the 100 Women Challenge, tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world.

Coming together in four teams, the women will share their experiences and create innovative ways to tackle:

  • The glass ceiling – #Teamlead
  • Female illiteracy – #Teamread
  • Street harassment – #Teamgo
  • Sexism in sport – #Teamplay

According to BBC News,  You might notice something different this year; there are still 40 spaces to be filled. As the season progresses, more women who have taken up the Challenge in some way will be added to the list.

why do you think Tiwa Savage did not celebrate husband’s birthday on social media

Okay, yesterday Teebillz added another year, so we wish him happy birthday in arrears. Tee Billz used to be a manager to the music goddess Tiwa Savage before they finally tied the knot. Like every other marriage, the couple had their ups and downs with downs that led to a suicide attempt from the husband and caused a separation. This happened sometimes in April of last year and though people thought Tiwa and Tee Billz would never come back together.

Shocking everyone, the couple reconciled early this year and has since been keeping things cool. Tee Billz in an interview maintained that their marriage remained strong.

But yesterday, Tiwa Savage did not celebrate her husband’s birthday on social media, instead she posted her love for a song. And trust my country people, they were ready for her, they reacted to her not wishing Tee Billz a happy birthday and started speculating all type of things. They wanted an Annie- 2face re-enactment.
