Toke Makinwa questions the rationale behind beating students for late school fees

After the viral video of a young girl that was sent home for not paying her school fees, Toke Makinwa responded like this:

“I am so sick to my stomach watching this. No child should be put under pressure, no child should be humiliated and made to suffer for wanting a better life. I’ve often wondered why flogging students who can’t pay or chasing them back home or in some cases publishing their names or calling them out on assembly ground is necessary, what point are you trying to prove? Embarrass their parents? Damage their self esteem, make them a laughing stock amongst their peers??? Of what use is this act exactly? Oh you flog or send them home so their parents can feel bad and embarrassed till they find the money right?

What is the child’s offense? Do they have a source of livelihood? Why do they have to suffer? Did they ask to be born?? It has been happening from time in memorial and I think it’s time we spoke against it. Why dehumanize them? Why embarrass them? Why flog them when they clearly can’t work to afford the school fees? Why??! I understand schools need money, I understand that some of these schools are not government owned and need funding to stay open but this is a shame, we must do something about it.

What happened to dialogue with the parents? What happened to working out a payment plan???? This young princess is the leader of tomorrow and her bravery and enthusiasm broke me, that should encourage them to nurture her and not break her down. Even if we find her confidence funny, her self esteem is being bruised by the school authorities who believe they have to flog her cos her parents can’t pay them to teach her. Sad ? ???

Pls let’s join hands in saving the situation, pls anyone who can connect with her family or any school interested in giving her a scholarship, let’s stop this barbaric act it’s disgusting”.

Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa, has revealed what she thinks getting herself a man meanS. This was in an Instagram post, where she spoke about being afraid of being happy. According to her, she has been through so much that happiness now scares her.

She, however, revealed that she has had so many almost moments. At such times, she had to listen to her spirit’s whisper, she said.

I’ve had so much crazy shit happen to me that being happy and in a place of peace almost scares me. I’ve had too many “almost” moments but then I heard the spirit whisper to me. Don’t judge my happy, I spent so long being sad, it’s my turn now’.

Takin to the comments section, however, one of her followers asked her to get herself a man. In response, the OAP noted that getting a man isn’t a necessity. It is rather a luxury, she said.

‘a man is not a necessity, a man is a luxury. Like desert’.

Since the latest episode of Toke Makinwa’s vlog appeared online, it has raised a lot of questions and discussions. This is as a result of the fact that the vlogger is of the opinion that women should not be called gold diggers.

Often times, women are tagged gold diggers because they want more, this, according to the OAP, is wrong. Only broke men call women such, she said.

She, however, advised that such men should leave the ambitious women alone and go for the less ambitious ones. Stop calling her a gold digger, she said.

Since her divorce, the media personality has never hidden the fact that she wishes to fall in love again. She never seem to underestimate the place of a man in her life.

Reacting the tweet, the OAP made it known that the feeling is mutual. Stating that she does not want to be the follower’s favorite human, she gladly accepted her compliments.

According to her, it is the same God that gave scientists brains to come up with new inventions, that gave doctors the brain for improvements in medical science. If one is going to embrace these inventions, they should also be able to welcome innovations in medical science, she said.

Media personality, Toke Makinwa has taken to social media to lash out at men who do not participate actively in their children’s lives.

This is coming after the social media drama created by American singer, Future, over his ex’s marriage. Recall that the singer had called out his ex, Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson. According to him, Russell allows the Level Up crooner control the marriage.

Toke Makinwa reacts to Future’s claims.

Noting that the American rapper is pained because someone has stepped in to perform his duties, Toke praised single mothers. Stating, however, that Russell is his MCM for the week, she describes Future as bitter.

She therefore prays that deadbeat dads would one day become step fathers to their own children.

Toke Makinwa sure has secret admirers who give her gifts most time and now another rich admirer gifted her a 460k perfume. She shared this on her instastory.

As the year is coming to a gradual end, everyone seems to be taking records of the high and low points of their times. Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has also taken to Twitter to talk about the things she did this year, which she is proud of.

According to the OAP, she had always hated her body until she decided to fix it. That was the best decision she made in 2018, she says.

I only just found it it’s “Able God”  I’m I the only one who hears “Ebuka” instead  @Ebuka, she wrote.

Media personality, Ebuka, on seeing the tweet, reacted with a simple ‘Hian!’ Well, other Nigerians were not as gentle as the agbada lord as they are so quick to drag her to the last.
