Tuface Slams NBC over ‘Bad Songs’ Circulating the Airwaves

One of the pioneers of modern day Nigerian music, Tuface Idibia, has taken a swipe at the National Broadcasting Commission over their inability to control the kind of songs that gets circulated.

This was in an interview with E-Daily, where he spoke about the kind of music that trends in the country. According to him, media houses play supposedly bad songs during the day when people are active. Those that are considered good songs are played in the night when people are asleep, he said.

Noting that sponsors want to make profit, he stated that they will only invest on these ‘bad songs’ because they want to make more money from it.

Tuface speaks on NBC’s mode of operation.

According to the singer, the National Broadcasting Commission that is supposed to control this are not doing so well. They only ban songs that are already popular, he said. By the time the songs are banned however, they are already popular, he said.

Excerpts from the interview below;

the crap music all over the place now is because the gate keepers play good songs when people are asleep at night; when there is no one to listen to the music. So if you do that kind of music and you take it to the radio and they refuse to play it, what do you do? And most of the financial back up artistes get is from people who want to make their money back immediately’.

People are afraid of investing their money on artistes who sing good music..Though the music will still be entertaining but the ear of the people has changed. You and I know that on a normal day it is good music we listen to, except when we go to parties. The youths have their mind tuned to the kind of music being made now; it’s difficult to remove it. It has to be a deliberate action to do so‘, he said.

On NBC, the singer has this to say:

Before NBC is able to ban any music, it has gone popular already. That means they didn’t even hear it on time in the first place. It’s after the song has gone viral that they will want to ban it. No one is doing any work.

It is very important that we have a responsible government and to have that we must have responsible people because if we don’t have responsible people, this is the kind of government we will keep having.

Interestingly, his hair was enough to go back in cornrows.

Looks like the truth between Tuface and Blackface will finally be revealed.

For a while now, singers, Tuface and Blackface have been going on and on about who wrote Tubaba’s songs, Let Somebody Love You and African Queen.

Well, it looks like the African Queen crooner has finally taken a move to quell the cock fight. According to a post by Blackface, his former group mate has taken him to court to demand 50millio Naira from him.

This, he said, is because of his claims to 2Face’s songs, which he said he wrote for him.

Fan Discredits Tuface, Says his Kids Looks Like they are Suffering

This fan feels Tuface’s kids are not looking up to standard.

Nigerians have formed a habit of trolling celebrities on Social media and this seems to be getting to them. In a recent post put of by one of the Tuface’s sons, Nino, a troll stated that he doesn’t think the singer’s kids are looking good.

https://instagram.com/p/BjNUCG6HTxJ/?utm_source=ig_embed

According to him, the kids looks like they are suffering. Well, the singer’s babymama, Sunmbo, didn’t find it funny so she jumped in her kids’ defence.

The fan wrote;

How comes 2face kids looks like they are suffering? pls i didn’t mean it in a negative way.
Sunmbo wrote;
@daveedaaa u do know what you are up too and it’s sad. You come on my page to discredit the effort my children put into innovating, then you come here to say they look like they are suffering. I have no words for you. you will understand when you become a parent.
These people should take a chill pill already.

Tuface Idibia Declares Intention to Contest Political Post in 2019

Tuface Idibia is set to delve into politics.

Nigerian music legend, Tuface Idibia has declared his intention to contest a political post, come 2019. Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday, in Lagos, the singer said that he is ready to take up the challenge of affecting lives positively. It is high time, good people, start getting involved in politics, he said. He also urged that youths get involved in politics.

Politics affects everything I do. So, I am definitely going to be interested in politics. I will soon participate as a contestant and speak the truth at all times.

I hope and pray that good men will rise up and make a difference in this country, because we need more patriotic people in all aspects of life.

He called on Nigerians to come to the aid of the victims of herdsmen crises.

There is so much we’ve been saying about this crisis, but nothing much has come the way of the victims.

We just need more people to support and join hands to continue extending relief materials to affected people.

This is the most important thing we  can now do; bring succour to the victims.

People should be sensitised on safety precautions, in times of crises, he said.

The singer, however, appealed to the government to ensure lasting solution to the herdsmen crises;

This thing is going on for too long, repeating itself over and over. There has to be a solution, the victims are not goats they are humans and should be taken care of.

I feel terrible not because it also happened in Benue State, where I hail from, but because it is also happening almost throughout the federation.

It does not have to happen to someone you know before you speak up about it.

See the Moment Davido Prostrated for Tubaba on Stage During his 30Billion Concert, Chases Music Legend Offstage Afterwards

Tubaba’s performance was a high point of the concert.

Davido’s 30Billion concert is a high point of the ending year 2017 and TuBaba isn’t left out of the epic event. The music legend thrilled fans to a performance of some of his best songs. While he was at it, the brain behind the show fell prostrate for the legend. Well, for some, this might seem like a show of respect from the Fia crooner, but some others seem to have another interpretation for this act.

According to tales from the event, Tuface was presumed drunk we as he gave halfway renditions of some of his best songs. In fact, some say the singer, instead of doing what he was best at, (Singing) brought his best oratory skills to play as he suddenly became an orator.

In a video shared by Goldmyne TV, it can’t be told if precisely, the singer was really drunk but it was obvious that the host was in a hurry to send him off stage. It was after he gave halfway rendition of his songs that Davido prostrated to him. An act which some interpreted as a plea to the music legend not to destroy his career.

Watch video here.

It is no news that music fans have no belly to bottle misdeeds of some musicians especially when they are a least favourite. A singer like Tuface however is immune to backlash as fans are always ready to forgive his ills.

Eedris Abdulkareem Lashes Back at Tuface, Calls him a Fool

Eedris Abdulkareem is not done talking.

This is coming after the recent exchange of words between singers Eedris Abdulkareem and Tuface. Eedris Abdulkareem had called Tuface out in an interview so Tuface took to social media to warn the ‘Mr. Lecturer crooner to stay off his case. This, obviously is the reason why Eedris decided to lash out again at Tuface in this Interview with Hip TV.

Eedris’ Words

“I was very happy. I wanted him to talk. 2face is a very good, nice and simple guy. I was on tour with 2face, Blackface, Plantashun Boiz, the remedies, and I saw what Blackface did to 2face. When I came back to Lagos, I went solo and did a song called Wakka wiki MC. At the end of the song, I said 2face is the Plantashun, the rest are the Boiz. Forget about what Blackface has done. God has belssed you today, your responsibility is to bless Blackface.

Blackface lost his daughter, his wife divorced him, they sent him out of the house. He was living in Jungle. Even if you don’t know remember am at all, he wrote ‘African Queen’. Guy, you dey craze.

Because of Blackface, I singehandely took you to Kenny Ogungbe (Baba Keke). I took you to him to sign you up. If I was a greedy person, I would take percentage from you. You are a fool. Grow up nigga. I’m okay and doing well.”

Blackface Releases Evidence of Tuface Admitting to Stealing his Song

Blackface shared a 2014 conversation.

Blackface who has been bitter about his former group mate, Tuface Idibia, shared a screenshot of their conversation accompanied with a strong message

Earlier this week, Blackface in an interview called out on Tuface in his usual manner. (Read Here). Tuface however in an unusual manner responded stating that his ex mate should stop calling him out.

So many others in the industry reached out to Blackface, advising him to quit ranting. (Read here and here).

Blackface in a spectacular move that seems to prove that he hasn’t just been bluffing has released evidence to prove that Tuface stole his song and even admitted to it. His postt below.

Sometimes people push you to the wall and you have no choice but to fight back
This is one of my conversation some years back with @official2baba when i Asked him why did he record my song #Letsomebodyloveyou without my #permission and this was his reply saying he thought he told me but really he didn’t.. and why add your manager as a writer also? so you guys can steal my publishing money? And when asked why you stole my song #Letsomebodyloveyou you Tuface said it wasn’t true and maybe my twitter Account was hacked N after which you unfollowed me but I had this saved for many many years so you can see the level of lies you been feeding fans and people all along

Your manager can’t be a writer in my song boy….its theft And Against the law n funny when you think about all of this….
You of all people should know I never could spread false allegations Bout you unless you denying it And claiming innocent as the Tuface wey you be.

This is why you n your creepy agents are trying to silent me via social media n avoid meetings to resolve this, but Jah has got my back OK
I have more evidence to this effect in case the need for it arises ok tuface & Efe omoregbe & company
Its sad you people forgot what I stand for..I am against corrupt people And bad leaders so una suppose know say e no go easy for all of una when like Hammer i am too legit to quit #BFN

Daddy Showkey Cautions Blackface, Advices him to Stop Ranting

Daddy Showkey weighs in on the rift between Tuface and Blackface.

In an instagram post, Daddy showkey calls out on Blackface, advising him to make music instead of ranting.

He also called out on Pulse TV for saying Tuface should come up with his own side of the story. The singer advised the media house to create peace not war as they do not know where the two started.

Advising Tuface not to respond to anyone, Daddy Showkey attributed the rift between the two to jealousy.

He Wrote…

I don’t see why people like building issues out of nothing. What do you want Tuface to come and say about him and Blackface? O boy! You and your pulse tv, make Una go sleep if una no get something to talk. If you want to make peace, you don’t create war! You don’t call people out to start saying things about one and another. People try to make peace between people. You are trying to call tuface to come and say what? O boy! Make Una no make person vex oo!!! What do you really know about these two young men Do you know where they started from? @blackfacenaija let your music speak for you! Stop RANTING!!! It is high time you guys stop this childish behavior! You all are people’s fathers, you have children. I went through what @official2baba is going through and I know what jealousy can cause. I am not happy when I see young men that started together beefing each other. If you want help, there are so many ways to go about it and if you feel you can do it by yourself, go ahead! It is not until when you bring your brother man down that will make you be relevant. If you want to sing, sing oooo! Our work Na to make people happy! Not to make people sad. E be like say time don reach wey I go call all of Una together. Make Una stop blab blab! Blow blow and DO MUSIC!!! If small pikin they do music, e dey pepper you. Stay your own too Tuface! No answer anybody. I no wan hear you answer anybody. Everybody get him mouth to yarn him JagaJaga story. So, make Una stay Una own Abeg.

Blackface says Tuface needs better writers, calls his latest album ‘broken’

No matter how much bigger Tuface gets in his career, Blackface doesn’t seem to ever want to own up to the singer’s successes.

In a recent interview with Pulse Nigeria’s Loose Talk, the ex Plantashun Boiz singer, Blackface, talked about his former team mate, Tuface Idibia, stating that he needs someone on his trail to tell him to do the right things stating that his music is not as good as the music their defunct group, Plantashun Boiz produced.

The singer added that Tuface can do better as he (Blackface) knows what his former teammate is capable of if he has the right people around him, adding that his Manager, Efe Omoregbe needs to get him writers, describing his most recent album as “broken.”

“2face needs somebody to be on his toe to tell him to do the right things, he is just that kind of artist. If you check his music right now, you can see the difference. You can’t compare his music right now to Plantashun Boiz’s music. It’s nowhere close. Melody wise, music wise, sound wise, he is nowhere close.”

“Why I am tough on 2face is because he can do better, and he isn’t trying to do better, I don’t think he has people around him that are trying to make him do better. From management to everything. If Efe Omoregbe his manager is here, I will tell him to his face. He is not trying at all.  He needs to get writers for the boy…We just heard his last record (‘Ascension’ album) and it is broken,” He said.

We would recall that Blackface is not one of Tuface Idibia’s greatest fans as the former Plantashun Boiz Star always spares no time to lash out on the singer at the slightest opportunity. Blackface has in the past accused Tuface with so many allegations.

Annie Idibia Sends her Love to TuFace as he Turns 42

As 2Baba turns a year older today, his dear wife took to Instagram to send a strong message across to him.

She shared a picture on her Social Media page and wrote:

“I’ll still be there when the sun shines bright and when the rain pours”.

She shared this picture with the above quote.

Innocent Ujah Idibia was born on the 18th of September 1975 in Plateau State, Nigeria. His music career started in 2004 with Plantation Boyz.

His relationship with Annie started at Even Ezra Music Studio when she was just fifteen and in her words, “I think there was some electricity that second”.

When Annie’s entertainment career became a lot more difficult as a result of being known as ’2Face’s girl’ and then they had their first breakup, came back, broke up again.

She was hurt when word got out that, in quick succession, 2Face had gotten two different women pregnant – Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajala. At that point, the couple broke up.

When Pero and Sumbo yet again got pregnant for 2Face once again, that was when 2Face and Annie had their longest break-up which lasted almost a year and a half. But as they say, love will always find a way, they made up again and Annie gave birth to 2Face’s fifth child Isabel and then in 2012, Pero gave birth to his sixth child in the US. Well, Pero couldn’t even prevent them from being together.

In 2012, 2Face proposed to Annie on Valentine’s Day at Jay Jay Okocha’s Club 10 in Victoria Island, Lagos. And, they weren’t even dating then, although were still on talking terms after he had called her out of the blue a few weeks before, visited her at home and asked for her forgiveness and friendship. According to eye-witness reports, 2Face took Annie to a quiet section of the club, he knelt down and told her “I know we have had our ups and downs but it will be my heart’s desire for you to marry me” and then presented the dazzling ring and Annie began screaming “YES, YES, YES!” after crying her eyes out.

Shortly after 2Face‘s concert when he brought out then-fiancee, Annie during his performance of“African Queen”, the two secretly legalized their union in a Lagos registry on Tuesday, May 1 2012. Welcome to the New Week, Here’s a quick Recap of major Events that Took Place Over the Weekend

While we were taking a break from work, the world certainly didn’t stop moving and because we love to keep the pace, here are some events that made the weekend complete.

The weekend started beautifully with the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Pageant. The 30th edition of the contest that produced The Most Beautiful Girl in the World in 2001. This year’s edition saw Miss Kebbi, Ugochi Ihezue take the crown home. She will be representing Nigeria at the Miss world Beauty pageant.

Still on goodwill mission, Tonto Dikeh joined those that are canvassing for relieve materials for the flood victims in Benue State. She is not alone on this one, Jim Iyke is with her in the campaign. To donate relieve materials, please refer to their social media pages to know how to be a part of the campaign.

Who remembers Gifty, the Big Brother Naija Housemate that claimed not to know who Falz the Bad Guy is, well, this weekend, she decided to put her hot body on display and trust me, she doesn’t care whose ox is gored, it makes her happy and she is doing it so it you have issues with her, deal with it.

She’s Hot!

Still, from Gifty, well, she kinda goofed it one time when she made a post on Instagram with the image of a scorpion and the caption, ”be careful with your steps so you don’t get sting”. Well a well meaning fan of hers took to the to the comment section to correct her and advised her to delete the comment, well she corrected herself and deleted the comment so we won’t know, but we know! A screen shot of the post bellow…

In another news, Mr. Easy has tried to clear the air on his claims of quitting a Six Thousand Dollar job for music. He said he was actually an intern at the oil company while he earned that much. He maintained that he ”brought a new vibe to the industry”.

Also, Tuface has responded to Area Fada’s (Charlie Boy) statements in an interview with Punch Newspaper as regards why 2Baba didn’t participate in the anti Buhari protest he organized sometime ago. Tuface advise the entertainer turned activist to focus on the problems of the country and leave him out as he is not Nigeria’s problem.
