EMEM EMA at 40: One ways to know when a friend is good for you ? Watchout for what they do when your dream is still a whisper.. when your next idea hasn’t crystallized.. 20 years ago .. I ‘whispered’ about ‘maybe ‘ wanting to be a photographer.. @vzhun did the first big thing anyone ever did for my photography .. she gave me a photography book ..Her late dad was the famous artist Iyang Ema.. madam went into his library and found me a book on photography .. Now you have to understand how big a deal this is .. I didn’t have access to the internet at the time .. this book was the only dream seed .. I saw the word ‘aperture ‘ for the first time .. I didn’t understand what that was … didn’t understand the book but I read it cover to cover countless times .. Emem ema helped me get started in photography before anyone did .

Emem knows how to make things happen .. because shes a dreamer -doer.. we use to free-style in the room I was squatting at (i didn’t ha accommodation in Unilag for two years .. slept in class and perched with friends pretty much ).. next thing you know we’re publicly making music .. recording in a studio … becoming a band with @larageorgemusic and @dapotorimiro .. sending songs to my brother @gbengasokefun next thing you know we’re getting a record deal in the United States .. and on and on our story goes .. Emem ema .. the shy ( believe me she actually is )super smart .. .. always minding her own business ..( apart from when she’s low key subbing you under her breath ??) workaholic.. (knows where the money is at ).. forward thinking .. forever loyal… gentle and kindhearted .. tomboyish forever.. God loving ..media mogul with a mad sense of humor …this girl Ive known since she was 15 is now 40 …. TY Bello and Tope Alabi, Set to Release New Album, ‘The Spirit of Life’

Nigerian photographer and singer, TY Bello, who recently clocked the age of 41, has revealed that she is set to release an album with popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi.

This was made known by her, in an Instagram post, where she shared a teaser from the new song. In her post, she revealed how she set her mind to align the production of the work to her birth date.

According to her, she came to the world 14 days late, after her mum had checked into the hospital on the 31st of December. She however stated that 14 is her perfect number.

She therefore added that this album is the most important album she has ever produced.

On TY Bello’s album Titled, ‘The Spirit of Life’:

14-41-14… this is. A special day for me really .. 14 years of love .. 41 years of life and another reminder that 14 days after is perfect. Even I came 14 days late .. but it wasn’t late at all.. it was perfect timing ..my mum was at the hospital to have me in the 31st of December… 41 years later I gave my self a deadline of 31st December 2018 to finish work on the project with @tope_alabi_.. I did EVERYTHING .. sleeping and average of less than 2 hrs a day … pouring in everything. .. pushing everyone on the music production to the max ( sorry guys?) .. today on this 14th its all done .. I did my final tweeking .. I’m looking at the body of work and all I feel is gratitude. This is by far the most important album I’ve ever produced .. 17 songs .. gifted like fresh bread of heaven. We literally worked on each song in awe an wonder of His song and the depth of the beautiful @tope_alabi_. This is God’s present to me… THE SPIRIT OF LIGHT .. out this week. #happybirthdaytome

Acclaimed Nigerian singer, photographer, and philanthropist TY Bello celebrate her twin boys as they clocked four. TY Bello’s twins Chris and Chris are cute growing boys and she portrays this in their photos. Her caption reads:

Sharing the  photos on Instagram, she wrote:

‘Mr. Eazi looking fly .. I totally enjoyed making images of him for @gtbank Mheeeern @mreazi needs to write a book .. or something .seriously ..  was totally inspired by the story of how he got into music .. I love the way he thinks .. clearly this dude is giving it everything and he’s about to amaze us some more .. Big thank you to the amazing team that rocked this .. let’s do this again!

TY Bello Eulogizes Mo Abudu

TY Bello speaks of TV Talk Show host and Media entrepreneur as the ”ideal super woman” while wishing her a happy birthday.

In an Instagram post, the super star photographer spoke fondly of how she had first worked with Nigerian Media goddess, Mosunmola Abudu, known as Mo Abudu, almost fifteen years ago.

She said she got along well with the media entrepreneur who at the time was ”a corporate guru’ and head of Vic and Lawrence and Associates.

In her message, TY Bello recalled that she has worked with CEO several times. She said,  ”what I remember most was her excitement about the future and the very unconventional dreams she had, the matter-of-fact way she spoke of the (at the time) almost unrealistic moves she planned to make”.

TY Bello stated how Mo turned giant projects from mere dreams to reality. ”TY, I am starting a TV show o, it’s going to be called Moments with Mo… in no time, the show began and I remember visiting her on set at City Mall (yes, anty Mo Abudu built a grand set right there) and I watched her lead, learn and push like she’s like she’s always been in the media. I saw her take on impossible project after impossible project, pulling together the right production team and running this machine till she perfected it, then on to the next one”.

Mo Abudu was born on the 11th of September 1964 in the United Kingdom where she had her education. She holds a masters degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Westminster, London.

Described by Forbes as Africa’s most successful woman, Mosunmola Abudu is a successful media entrepreneur and award winning talk show host can best be described as an amazon whose contributions to the Nigerian media cannot be over emphasized.

At age 52, Mosunmola Abudu keeps glowing and waxing stronger. Her new age certainly looks fabulous on her. Cheers to a greater you ma’am!
