No Peace! Leadership wrangles rock Amani National Congress party

It seems even before Amani National Congress leader, Musalia Mudavadi can catch his breath following the abrupt start and end of the NASA, more bricks are toppling on top of  his head.
Disputes over leadership have rocked the former Deputy Prime minister, Amani national congress party (ANC).
The party’s Nairobi branch interim officials, have demanded the removal of national secretary general, Geoffrey Osotsi.
The officials are accusing Osotsi of meddling with party’s grassroots affairs to impose his own preferred new leadership.

Led by acting chairman, Newton Wanjala and Embakasi Central secretary, Fred Wamalwa, the leaders on Tuesday accused the secretary general of silently planning to replace them with his cronies.
Wamalwa said Osotsi is running the party like “a private company” and has been hiring goons to disrupt meetings convened by other ANC leaders.

Wanjala said Osotsi has been holding meetings, under the pretext that he is educating party members of the planned harmonisation structure, yet his real motive is to remove them from office.

Osotsi who spoke to the Star has however hit out at Wamalwa and Wanjala, accusing them of hindering the party’s progress.
These new developments comes just days after Kanu announced it was not interested in joining the National Super Alliance coalition (NASA).
NASA is a party fronted by ANC leader, Musalia Mudavadi and hopes to bring all opposition parties together before 2017, and jointly kick out of power, the Jubilee government.
For NASA to realise its target it has to convince similar parties in the opposition like, Kanu, ODM, Wiper, Ford Kenya etc. to put aside their self-interests and come together for a common cause to remove Jubilee party from power come 2017.
