Musa Mthombeni speaks on Akhumzi’s void

Musa Mthombeni took part in a cooking competition that saw him win. Just the same way his best friend Akhumzi Jezile won in 2017. This time, he won a holiday to Zanzibar.

However, it will be a bittersweet vacation for him as his close friend is not there with him.

Musa misses Akhumzi, who died in a horror crash last year.

For him, Akhumzi’s spirit is still with him.

“Guess who I’d love to take along to Zanzibar,” he said.

“It’s very hard.

“I think about him a lot.”

Work, he says, keeps his mind off the harsh reality that he’ll never see his “brother” again.
