Cassper Nyovest gives more insight on the FIFA worldcup experience

Cassper Nyovest reflects on how his journey with Coca Cola has been.

The rapper appears on a new song for the 2018 FIFA World Cup called Colour, which features American singer Jason Derulo.

Cassper was lucky enough to travel to Mozambique with the Coca-Cola team as part of the FIFA World Cup trophy tour.

“I got to see the actual trophy for the first time. The moment was greater than I had imagined it would be,” Drum magazine quoted him as saying at a listening session for the new World Cup anthem.

But the trip brought back memories about his broke days during the World Cup held in South Africa.

“Seeing the trophy reminded me of 2010 and how broke I was at the time; I was mad broke and still living in the hood. I wish I could go as the person I am today and see some of the games.”

Cassper says working with Jason on a song for the World Cup is a dream come true
He travelled to Los Angeles to work on the song at the Wiggle hitmaker’s house.

“Going to Jason’s house, I didn’t know what to expect. He owns a big compound and there’s security everywhere. His studio is the size of half my crib and he had his chef cook for us and I got to work with his producer and my producer Ali Keys,” Cassper said.

The 27-year-old says he freestyled his verse on the song, and did not pre-plan any of the lyrics.

“I wanted to capture the moment.”

Colour will officially make its debut on March 16 – three months before the World Cup kicks off in Russia
Cassper says working with the Coke team is a “big opportunity” for him.

“Just to be associated with Coke is an honour because it is one of the biggest brands in the world. For them to pick me to be part of the World Cup shows that I am moving in the right direction.”

From being broke during the 2010 World Cup to singing on a song for the 2018 World Cup – not bad for a boy from Mafikeng!

“Cassper met Thobeka’s family and they have nothing but love for the dude,” another source claimed.

Another insider said he was planning to send his uncles to Thobeka’s family so he could pay damages for the baby to carry his surname.

AKA claims that his tweet helped promote the #FillUpFNBStadium

Rapper AKA  caused a frenzy when he took to Twitter over the weekend to suggest that he wanted to help Cassper Nyovest fill up FNB Stadium, well thus came with alot of criticism from Caspers’s fans and fellow celebrities.

In a video posted to Twitter this week, East Coast Radio’s Bongani Mtolo suggested that AKA was attempting to ride Cassper’s wave by offering to help his rival.

What he had to say:

“All of a sudden AKA wants to join and wants them to partner up and do it half-half. No guy. They were beefing, they must carry on beefing. What we are focusing on right now is filling FNB Stadium and that is all that needs to be there. AKA must just sit down and stop trying to get in this guy’s shine,” Bongani said.

AKA took to Twitter to slam Bongani and claimed that his offer had “actually helped promote” Cassper’s #FillUpFNBStadium.
