Trevor Noah & Charlize Theron to be part of Oscars hosts

Trevor Noah will take to the stage for the 91st Oscars Academy Awards set for the 25th of February. Together with Charlize Theron and other stars, they will introduce the nominees.

In a statement released by the Oscars producers, they said that Trevor and a few other stars will introduce the 8 Best Picture nominees during the ceremony.

“Movies connect us all. They move us, and they create moments and memories that unite us. We are thrilled to assemble this well-known array of film lovers to introduce and share their reflections on the Best Picture-nominated movies.”

The Oscars will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide. It will be broadcast on m-Net Movies Premiere (DStv 104) from 03:00 on Monday 25th February.

Charlize Theron shares a snap of her first modelling competition

Charlize Theron shared a pic from the time she won the Rooi Rose modeling competition while living in South Africa.

In the pic, Charlize is wearing a red wrap blouse, with her hair swept back into beautiful curls.

“Pulled a full Marie Kondo and came across this gem. My first modeling competition back in South Africa. Really wishing I kept this top (sic),” she captioned the photo.

Charlize Theron and David Oyelowo teach Afrikaans and Yoruba Slang (Watch)

Charlize Theron and David Oyelowo are currently promoting their new film Gringo. They spared some time to catch up with Vanity Fair, where they shared sayings from their native languages, Afrikaans and Yoruba.

They taught each other slang from their native languages.

Charlize went up first with the meanings to skme sayings including “Bakvissie,” “moenie die hoender ruk nie,” and “pomp.”

David nailed the pronunciation of “Moenie die hoender ruk nie,” directly translated to mean “don’t shake the chicken.”

The trailer of Charlize Theron’s new film has just been released. The film Tully, has been dubbed an ode to motherhood.

In the film, Theron plays an overworked mother of three, whose brother gifts her a night nanny.

At first, she is hesitant, but comes to form a unique bond with the nanny, Tully.

The film is set to be released on April 20th.

Theron, who is known for her glamorous red carpet displays on the red carpet is casually clad with a barely there coat of makr up in the film.

She stars alongside Ron Livingston and Mark Duplass.

Charlize Theron joins hands with Kweku Mandela in new project

Nelson Mandela’s grandson Kweku Mandela, has teamed up with actress Charlize Theron in a new project.

The project is in partnership with GenEndIt, and is known as #100conversations.

GenEndIt is a movement that aims to encourage the youth to stand up against HIV/AIDS, and prevent it from spreading.

In a video on Instagram, Charlize announced her pride in the launch of the program. She explains the program is in place to honor the legacy of Kweku’s grandfather, Nelson Mandela.

Kweku then joins her, as she further praises the late Nelson Mandela for believing in the ‘power of youth.’
