Watch: Engagement on Dancing with the Stars SA

Last night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars SA delivered a live TV surprise engagement.

Ryan Hammond surprised his fellow dancer Angelique Allison with the proposal. “I want to dance the rest of our lives away,” he said.

Angelique was completely taken aback by the proposal as she did not see it coming.

Interestingly, choreographer Jason Gilkison was in on the plan, and even helped bring it to fruition.

A beautiful choreographed group dance saw Ryan and Angelique ending up at the front, at the end of the performance. Ryan was on one knee while Angelique was sitting on his right leg.

Dancing with the Stars SA co-presenter Chris Jafta was at Ryan’s side with mic in hand.

“Ladies and gentlemen a couple of years ago Angelique told me if I ever propose to her, she’d be wearing a nice dress, and there should be someone taking pictures.

“I thought it couldn’t get bigger than this!” Ryan said, as he took out a black box, revealing a ring.

“Baby I love you very much. Will you marry me?” Angelique, who was in awe, said yes as the audience erupted in applause and cheers.
