He went on promoting the songs saying just how SA music is spreading and influencing genres worldwide.

“It is that good. I have always felt that the music we have always been playing on our scene is amazing it is just that it did not have the ears. It didn’t have platforms. It didn’t have bigger clubs to support it. Now there are bigger platform and people are like ‘Wow. Where is this coming from?’ It has always been there.”

Black Coffee wants to introduce all local artists internationally.

“It is amazing to watch and my thought on it were always that it has to be bigger than me. I have to introduce everyone else so that it is not a Black Coffee thing. I love it when people say it is an African thing or it is a South African thing.”

DJ Black coffee opens up on cheating oh his wife Enhle

DJ Black Coffee has, for the first time, spoken out about an alleged affair that rocked his marriage to actress, Enhle Mbali in 2013.

The celebrity couple hogged headlines five years ago after Sunday World reported that a model and businesswoman had threatened to reveal saucy details from the apparent affair.

During an interview with DJ Fresh on Metro FM on Friday, Black Coffee reflected on the scandal.

He explained that all the attention and fame became overwhelming and he “slipped up”

“A man being a man will always be a man. But now when you add the attention from the opposite sex, it can be blinding. It is something you will never be immune to as a person.

“You can try your best and every now and then it’s going to catch up with you. The love becomes overwhelming as a person. You become overwhelmed with everything, the success. Before you get used to everything, you slip up,” he said.

The world-renowned DJ explained that the tabloids blew the scandal out of proportion but it taught him valuable lessons.

“With the tabloid stuff, it is a reminder of how human one is. Not just being written about but from also the mistakes one makes as a person. It is something that people should understand when you are dealing with someone who is as real as I am. But everything that has happened has been a wake-up call and a lesson,” he added.

DJ Black Coffee confirms Pharrell Williams and Akon feature in album

DJ Black Coffee has an album that he has set to drop later in the year. He has already confirmed that he has done a collaboration with Pharrell Williams and Akon.

He confirmed this to Complex News that most of the collaborations he has hinted at in the past will be part of his upcoming album. He hopes to release this by the end of August.

Black Coffee went on to reveal that his dream of having a collabo with Pharrell was already in the bag. He is also assisting David Guetta with his album in his capacity as a producer.

“I have a lot of them‚ one of them it’s like almost happening‚ which is Pharrell. We working on a song already‚ we spent some time in studio. I’m also working‚ helping David Guetta in doing his album‚ I’m in studio with him next week.”

Black Coffee said he planned on making his next album for global appeal. He plans to accommodate everyone he loves, both at home and in the world.

“I’m working on my album‚ so I’m kinda like working with everyone that I really love. So I’m putting together this body of work that I’m hopefully gonna release by the end of August.”

He also promised to bring the world to SA,like UK star Tom Misch.

“He (Tom) is bringing something so bigger than how young he is. He is bringing something much more deeper that I feel like (that) is balancing the industry out. I’m actually trying to get him to South Africa to perform.”

DJ Black Coffee explains why he chose not to work with Jay Z

Dj Black Coffee is arguably one of the most sought after artists in the continent. When he is not busy rubbing shoulders with the who is who in the entertainment industry he is a doting father and husband to his beautiful family.

Dj Black Coffee has had the opportunity of working with the industries heavy weight ,including the likes of Alicia Keys and P.Diddy.

He recently talked about why he choose not to work with Jay Z  by stating that he felt overwhelmed by the thought of working with the global mega star.

“Most of the time I forget I’m Black Coffee, and that works against me a lot.”

That explains why this international star felt overwhelmed at the prospect of working with Jay-Z.

Referring to his recent interview on Metro FM’s Fresh Breakfast show last Friday, Black Coffee shed some light on why he was unable to work on a collaboration with the rap legend on his latest album.

“I got a call from (hip hop producer and Alicia Keys’ husband) Swizz Beatz. I was in Milan at the time. He said, ‘Look man, I need a song urgently.’

“We exchange songs a lot. I said: ‘For who?’ He said: ‘For Jay’s album.’ I’m like: ‘Jay? Who’s Jay?’ He continued to say: ‘Jay needs your vibe. We need to hook up and do a song.’

“It turned out Jay is Jay Z.”

Black Coffee said he was “freaked out” at the request, but although he was humbled and excited at the same time, it was too overwhelming for him and he felt he couldn’t do it.

“I was like, ‘I’m gonna do something’ but I couldn’t. I was excited but I could not sit down and do a song for Jay Z and I didn’t do it because it was such a big thing for me. I didn’t even know where to begin. I just wasn’t ready.”

He said these are some of the battles he chooses not to talk about most of the time because people only see the victory, the success. They don’t see the struggles the artist faces.

“People see all the good, all the great things that we do. Out of 10, we win five, we lose five, that’s how it works. People say everything you touch turns to gold. They don’t know about the 10 that we lose.”

Still on the Jay Z collaboration, Black Coffee also touched on how people need to be responsible on social media and think of the consequences and how their actions can tarnish someone’s reputation.

“I spoke about this on radio (Fresh Breakfast) and that’s why I’m speaking about it now. When I speak about things, they get turned around. There’s a headline on Twitter that says ‘Black Coffee turned down Jay-Z’. I had to respond to the tweet and say, ‘No, that’s not true’, because what that does is it’s gonna get to his TL (timeline) and I’m this guy in Africa who is telling lies about him (Jay Z).”
