DJ Maphorisa has plans to go back to school this year.

Maphorisa made that revelation on Twitter.

“Going Back School This Year,” he tweeted.

By doing that he will be joining a couple of Mzansi celebs who have gone back to school.

They include the likes of Motaung Jr, Thabo ‘Tbose’ Mokwele, Ashwin Willemse, Nomzamo Mbatha, Julius Malema.

His fellow DJ Black Coffee also announced his plans of getting back to school this year.

With the video for his hit Midnight Starring doing extremely well, DJ Maphorisa has now released the visuals for his track Oncamnce.

The second official release off of his Gqom Wave album, Oncamnce sees Maphorisa taking an unconventional approach to Gqom by featuring hip hop artists only.

“I am always in my studio, forever thinking of innovative ways to fuse different sounds together. When I heard the beat, I could definitely hear Kwesta, Stilo and Zingah on it, and they did way more than I expected,” Maphorisa said in a press statement.

DJ Maphorisa has received two nominations to the 2017 edition of the Humanitarian African Prestigious Awards (HAPA).

The nominations are for Music producer of the year and Best DJ Africa.

HAPA awards is s multi-cultural award ceremony with a mission of bridging African cultures and the rest of the world.

The event is set to take place in the USA on Saturday the 18th of November.
