Khaya Dladla has earned himself a nomination to the South African Film and Television Award. This is in the Best Supporting Actor category.
His nomination came as a surprise and Khaya took to Instagram to et his followers know.
He feels humbled by the nomination.

He recently opened up about his next venture. He will be launching his music career.
Khaya becomes the second thespian to venture into the music industry, after Khabonina.
We cannot wait for what is in store in terms of his new venture.
In an interview with DJ Fresh, Khaya Dladla spoke candidly about how growing up different was for him.
“I grew up as a working Kid. I was always working, and for my parents to take me to a ballet class was not because they thought I was a ballerina or a dancer, it was for them to just get me off. To get me out of their way because I was just extra. So that thing got out of the way when they discovered that this school doesn’t have clothes for boys. So I ended wearing the girls tights, I was the only darkie in the class and the only boy,” he said.
Khaya credits his mother for how he handles his relationships. he does not hesitate to walk away from failed relationships.
“I always ignore people, I walk away, my mother always told me to walk away…I walk away from friendships and sometimes even if I go through a breakup, I usually break up with people when I still really really love them but I was like: ‘this is gonna be toxic, it’s heading into the wrong direction, I walk away’ I don’t have enemies, if I do, I don’t know about them…”
Khaya Dladla is convinced that his show, The Man Council, has got the winning formula. The show is aired late at night because of its adult content.
“The content of the show is amazing. One of the reasons I am part of the show is because it tackles those taboo topics around sex, love and dating that everyone wants to talk about, but ends up avoiding. The show also plays very late because kids should be asleep, it’s that kind of a show,” Khaya said.
He went ahead to explain that the show would not go into too much details of freaking people out. It would however engage the men and their guests in a meaningful debate.

The show’s producer agreed with Khaya’s words.
“We wanted to prove that in reality, men also have issues around love, sex and relationships. There are already many platforms where women are able to discuss such things and to help each other, but they haven’t been readily available for men. So we created this platform with them in mind.”
