Moneoa comes out to shut down Masechaba Ndlovu’s claims

In a deleted social media post, Moneoa came out to clear her name after accusations from Masechaba Ndlovu that attacked her character.

Masechaba had allegedly made comments about Moneoa on Metro FM, but Moneoa will not let anyone drag her name in rumors.

“Here’s what’s hurt me… some people that I consider my role models, people who I’ve opened up my life and home to and vice versa? People I’ve embraced as family, people I’ve travelled with, shared birthdays and special occasions with… People who I have genuine love and respect for, would rather disparage my name, judging and condemning me on radio, as opposed to picking the phone and calling me,” Moneoa wrote.

Masechaba responded back too.

“Mo Flava and I quoted a publication, as per mandate. That Metro FM feature is based on entertainment news making headlines,” Masechaba said.

The two have not spoken to each other in public. Judging by the deleted posts however, they may have sorted out the issues.

Moneoa opens up on her hitting rock bottom

In an Interview with Drum musician Moneoa opened up on how she struggled to keep up with the spotlight

During the Interview she reviled  on the downside of fame.

I was overwhelmed by the spotlight, the industry and the fame,” she admits. “I didn’t like who I was turning into.”She was quoted saying

I found myself becoming addicted to things that were not good for me. I’m not talking about drugs, because I’ve never done them in my life, but alcohol can be an addiction, partying can be an addiction.”

“I was addicted to the wrong type of crowds. I wanted to be associated with certain kinds of people not because it brought value to my life, but because it looked good and the money went out as fast as it came in.”

“Wow, I used to go on spending rampages. I used to go mad. I’d lose my mind in shops, clubs and restaurants. I used to be the girl in restaurants who’d say, ‘Guys, I’m making money now, I’ll pay’. I think that’s how I ruined my relationships with some of my friends because they got used to me being their blesser. Some of them expected me to pay for everything.”

She reviled she had to take a break from the spotlight to work on herself.

She is now  back with a new album, Ziphi’ Inkomo, a clear head and a fresh outlook on life.
