Head of Group Communications at VW South Africa Andile Dlamini has apologised for the distress that the latest campaign has caused.

In an Interview with SABC news, this is what they had to say;

“We first have to apologise for the distress that was caused for people that were close to her, that felt that the campaign was real and that Nomuzi was badly hurt – but what was important to us was that the message came across.  When Nomuzi released a video to say this is the campaign that she’s running, she’s not hurt… people need to understand that they cannot be texting and driving at the same time.  So the next campaign won’t be as shocking as this one.”

Nomuzi Mabena has confirmed that Thursday’s Instagram Live video, which shows her being involved in an apparent car crash, was staged and part of marketing campaign.

Nomuzi, later on, took to Twitter to confirm the alleged accident was part of the Drive Dry campaign.

“I partnered with @Volkswagen and @DriveDry to make a change in 2019. We don’t want to see another year where thousands of lives are lost on our roads because of drinking & driving,” she tweeted.

Nomuzi Mabena has spoken about her Instagram Live car crash video. She has explained that it was staged and part of a marketing campaign.

After the video wen tviral, many of her fans were worried about her well-being.

After about 14 hours, Nomuzi confirmed that the stunt was part of an elaborate Drive Dry campaign.

“I partnered with @Volkswagen and @DriveDry to make a change in 2019. We don’t want to see another year where thousands of lives are lost on our roads because of drinking & driving,” she tweeted.

“Our intention was never to distress any fans, friends or family. For just these few hours for people to pause and think what if this was the reality. I give my all to my fans and I had to do something to get people to sit up and notice. We were willing to risk it all to drive home this critical message. If this saves one life, then we were successful and I would do it again,” Nomuzi said in a press statement.

Alongside her tweet, she shared a video explaining the campaign  and showing the behind-the-scenes footage of the staged accident.

Nomuzi ‘Moozlie’ Mabena left here worried after the rapper got into an accident during a live Instagram stream.

Within hours of the video being published, people speculated that it was all a publicity stunt in partnership with the department of transport.

Someone claiming to be her cousin said that she claimed to crash into a woman on a broom, while celebrity friend and fellow rapper AKA reportedly confirmed she was fine.

Musician Nomuzi Mabena turned 26 over the weekend. Her celebrations saw close friends and family gather fro the celebrations.

It was an all girls affair that saw other celebrities such as Minnie Dlamini in attendance.

Speaking to Drum Nomuzi gave more details on her newest projects

“I’m here making moves, where are you though? Those who think I can’t rap, what are you doing with your lives and where are you with your career?” she said.

Nomuzi says she is not concerned about haters and she is focusing her energy on her upcoming project Victory which she has been working on tirelessly.
She said will share details of the project in due time.

“I’m planning a big reveal of the artwork and the first single; I can’t say much yet but I do however have features by Kid X, YoungstaCPT, and Gemini Major.”

Nomuzi says multi-award winning singer Shekhinah will also be writing songs for her upcoming album.

“She is a great writer and she will be writing some songs on the album; I can’t wait for the big reveal soon and that is all I am concentrating my energy on.”

Nomuzi Mabena got to hang with the big cats at the Lion and Safari Park.

Talented rapper Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena has gotten herself a major international deal.

She recently teamed up with worldwide footwear band, Steve Madden for a project. The project’s title is called Moozlie versus X Steve Madden Music.

Steve Madden’s South Africa manager said, “The first Steve Madden Music collaboration in South Africa is the purposeful choice of an artist who not only displays a versatile mix of musical talent but carries the fierce and fancy Steve Madden persona. Upon hearing of Moozlie’s interest in recording a mixtape, the potential to support and elevate her sound seemed undeniable.”
