Thembisa Mdoda reveals biggest privilege

On her sons’ 7th birthday, Thembisa Mdoda took to Instagram to share just how much joy they have brought her. She calls them her biggest privilege and purpose.
“26/02/2012. At 13:00 and 13:02. We welcomed two identical premature babies into the world. Their dad held my hand in one hand, and a camera in the other. They were so tall and lanky. So beautiful and didn’t cry immediately. We (family&friends) named them, Lonwabo and Lonwabile. Tamkhulu gave them, Lwanda and Lwandile. Today, they turn 7. My miracle babies. My biggest privilege. My purpose. Oh, the HAPPINESS they bring❤️. The apples of my eye,” she wrote in part.

Thembisa Mdoda goes behind the camera

Thembisa Mdoda will now be behind the camera. She becomes an associate producer on Sisanda Henna’s upcoming international film, Coltan.
“This story is very close to my heart and it took me seven years to write the screenplay and to kick the project off the ground.”
Thembisa spoke about the film saying: “The topical and relevant storyline will ensure resonance for a global audience.”

Thembisa Mdoda’s 36th Birthday Dinner In Photos

Thembisa Mdoda celebrated her 36th birthday with a 1920s theme.

She took to social media to post photos from the dinner party she held. Her sister Anele Mdoda, as well as actress Renate Stuurman were in attendance.

The guests too could be seen in the 1920s theme.

Thembisa wore a black dress with a black and gold headpiece.

Thembisa Mododa hosted  The Great Gatsby themed party for her 36th birthday.

 

The guests didn’t disappoint as they went all-out as they embraced the 1920s theme, with the birthday girl herself wearing a sexy black number with a black and gold headpiece.

The media personality has featured in a number of big magazines such as True Love before, but this is her first international feature.

Thembisa Mdoda comes to Anele’s defence

When Twitter dragged Anele for joining the I am Winnie Mandela Hashtag, her sister Thembisa Mdoda defended her.

Twitter users on Tuesday said Anele did not look anything like Winnie Mandela.

Putting the man who cyber-bulkied Anele, Thembisa wrote: “They need to read more and get a clue. There’s more to life than gqom lyrics and their search for humor.”

Together, they were able to defeat the troll.

Thembisa Mdoda speaks on leaving OPW and finding love

In this month’s issue of True Love, Thembisa Mdoda opened up about her exit from Our Perfect Wedding. Interestingly, the media personality had no idea where she was headed after she left the show.

Doors however opened, and opportunities came in plenty. She attributes to her new management company, Owen S Management.

“The beautiful thing is when I jumped ship, everyone approached me, saying they’d been waiting for me all along.

Thembisa insists she left the show on good terms and believes this is how things should be done. For her, it was time.

Love

Thembisa is full of excitement when it comes to speaking about her guy.

“… My guy has taught me so much. Even when I act some type of way, he brings me back. He knows how to handle me, he’s my fixer. Our foundation is so solid that everything is blooming. Yes, he’s the man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.”

She would also love to have more children down the line.

Thembisa and her ex-husband Atandwa Kani are now in speaking terms and have even reflected on what led to their marriage breakdown.

Other than that, Thembisa has her hands full with new projects she is working on.

She is dressed in an off-the-shoulder pin-striped piece. Her curls and endearing smile thus make the cover even better.

In the issue, Thembisa opens up about the power of letting go, getting closer to God and unleashing her powerful acting skills.

Thembisa shared the news on social media saying: “Shooooooo… Somebody pinch me.”

Her twin boys recently celebrated their birthday.

Thembisa Mdoda speaks on Danckng With the Stars SA exit

Thembisa Mdoda was on Sunday thrown off the Dancing With the Stars SA competition.

Exit

Speaking about her exit, she said she had already moved on from her departure. She is now focussing on organising a birthday party for her twin boys.

“I was never shocked, surprised, sad nor disappointed, to be honest. I was extremely happy to have done something like this, so, when they said ‘okay you are leaving’ I was fine with it.

“I am looking forward to celebrating my kids’ birthday with them.”

For Thembisa, her experience on the show was her first dancing attempt. She expexted a lot of fatigue, and she injured both her ankles.

“I injured my ankles and my body was sore every single day, but we pushed. I kept on saying that I am not a punk, that I was there for a reason, and we kept on pushing and it paid off.”

Thembisa and her partner Devon Snell were kicked off the show after their cha-cha-cha dance failed to impress the judges.

If given another chance, Thembisa said she would sign up for the show again.

Thembisa Mdoda sweet message to Fiancee

Lovestruck Thembisa Mdoda is ready to become a Mrs in 2018 and has been opening up about her excitement on social media.

In a series of posts on her Instagram page Thembisa urged people not to wait and tell that special person that you love them.

“Because love is everything. I can’t wait spend the rest of my life telling showing YOU how your love has healed, changed and lifted me. I can’t wait to be your ???,” she wrote.

Last year the TV personality revealed she found love on the set of Our Perfect Wedding.

“It’s the most cliched thing you will ever hear. I found love on Our Perfect Wedding. We are happy and planning a future together. It’s a beautiful thing. He’s a great guy. For me to find someone in the space that I work in and who I totally fell in love with is amazing.”

Thembisa Mdoda joins Dancing With The Stars SA

Thembisa Mdoda has joined M-Net’s Dancing With The Stars SA. The TV presenter will show us her other side on the dance floor.

Competitors

Frank Opperman is another celebrity who will be joining Thembisa on the show. Other celebrities will be announced soon. Chris Jaftha and Tracey Lange are expected to host the show.

Dancing With The Stars SA, will see 12 untrained local celebrities battling it out. They will do it with the help of highly skilled professional Latin, and ballroom dancers.

It is set to commence on Sunday 4th February, 2018.

Thembisa Mdoda talks about the man in her life

Thembisa Mdoda can’t stop talking about her boyfriend. In her recent win at the SA Style Awards, she thanked him in an emotional acceptance speech.

She recently opened up about the man she met on the set of Our Perfect Wedding.

“He worked behind the scenes and was part of the crew. (He was) so sweet but so focused on the work. I’m very attracted to people who are passionate about their jobs and about their work, so he was very interesting,” Thembisa said.

Initially, they played it cool. Two years later however, they are in a flourishing relationship.

“I think we met at the exact right time, you know, when everything was just coming together. That is very scary because I was like: ‘I’m focusing on my career and my kids’ and then it just happened. You know when it just hits you and you are like: ‘oh crap.’ But he’s incredible and amazing human being and he boyfriends really well.”

Thembisa is not planning on letting him go anytime soon.

Thembisa caught fans by surprise when she mentioned her man earlier on, at the Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards. This was during her acceptance speech.

She later talked about their future saying, “It’s the most clichèd thing you will ever hear. I found love on Our Perfect Wedding. We are happy and planning a future together. It’s a beautiful thing. He’s a great gut. For me to find someone in the space that I work in and who I totally fell in love with is amazing.”
