Trevor Noah hilarious fake Xhosa translation

Trevor Noah hit the Oscars stage to present to the  Best Picture nominees, Black Panther.

Trevor took the stage to talk about how people actually think Wakanda is a real place.

“Growing up as a young boy in Wakanda, I would see T’Challa flying over our village, and he would remind me of a great Xhosa phrase,” he says, “‘Abelungu abazi’ uba ndiyaxoka—which means, ‘In times like these, we are stronger when we fight together than when we try to fight apart.”

Well, it turns out that that is not the real meaning of the phrase.

“The real translation is, ‘White people don’t know I’m lying,'” Zimbabwean TV host Makho Ndlovuon says
