This is how everyone can get a huge discount by adding Showmax to the DStv bill

Anyone can get Showmax – you don’t have to have DStv to sign up.

There are, however, special deals for DStv subscribers in Kenya.

If you are a DStv Premium customer, you can add Showmax standard* to your DStv bill at no extra cost.

So you can binge on even more incredible movies, local and international series and kids shows, whenever and wherever you want. This includes Selina, Sol Family, Kina, Power, Lovecraft Country, Njoro wa Uba and Siren.

If you are are DStv Compact Plus, Compact, Family or Access customer, you’ll get 50% off your Showmax standard subscription if you add it to your DStv bill.

It’s so convenient – not only do you get Showmax at a huge discount – it’s bundled into your DStv bill so you have less paperwork to worry about.

Add Showmax to your DStv bill from the My DStv app

  1. Download the My DStv app (iOS or Android)
  2. Select ‘Showmax on Us’, followed by ‘Activate Now’.
  3. Start watching.

Add Showmax to your DStv bill from your desktop

For DStv Premium customers:

  1. Go to www.DStvAfrica.com and log in.
  2. Locate the Showmax banner on your account dashboard.
  3. Click ‘Activate’.
  4. You’ll be prompted to create a Showmax account – click Create Account. If you already have a Showmax account, just sign in and start watching.

For DStv Compact Plus, Compact, Family or Access customers:

  1. Go to www.DStvAfrica.com and log in.
  2. Locate the 50% Off Showmax banner on your account dashboard.
  3. Click ‘Activate’.
  4. You’ll be asked to add Showmax for 50% off – click ‘Add to bill’.
  5. Then you’ll be redirected to the Eazy Self Service payment portal.
  6. Under Select payment option, choose ‘Once off payment’ to top up your DStv account with the balance of this month’s Showmax subscription.
  7. Enter your bank card details and click ‘Save and Pay’.
  8. Once payment is successful, select ‘Activate Account’ to start watching Showmax.

Once you’ve activated Showmax on the DStv Africa website, you’ll be redirected to the Showmax website to sign in and start watching.

Start watching your favourite shows now, either through your connected Explora, on your laptop or PC, or through the Showmax app on your smartphone or tablet.

*There are no special deals for DStv subscribers for Showmax Pro at the moment.

The iconic Sauti Sol’s story is set to premier on Maisha Magic Plus, on the Sol Family Show!

From the band that brought us the biggest hits of our time, comes a brand-new show about the work that goes behind the making of the music.

Sol Family, a new reality show set to premiere on Maisha Magic Plus on Sunday 2 August 2020 will take viewers on a behind the scenes journey of the Sol Generation hit-making machine.

The 13-part series will give viewers a front row seat to the lives of the band and work that goes behind the production of the music that fans have enjoyed over the years.

“We are excited to be launching Sol Family on the channel this August” said Margaret Mathore, Channel Head of Maisha Magic Plus. Sauti Sol is a household Kenyan name and as Kenya’s most loved story-teller we strongly believe that this addition to the content mix will offer our viewers greater local entertainment and broaden the genres that are currently available on offer on the channel” said Mathore

Sauti Sol -has worked with some of Africa’s music legends including Burna Boy, Sho Madjozi – Patoranking, Tiwa Savage, -, Vanessa Mdee, Yemi Alade, Khaligraph Jones, Nyashinski, Bebe Cool, Mi Casa, Toofan including the legendary American Singer and Songwriter- India Arie.

The band has also embarked on several successful tours in Africa and Europe, topped Kenyan charts and gained international attention with shows in Europe and the US.

Mathore added, “The Kenyan entertainment industry continues to change rapidly and has become extremely relevant throughout the years. We are proud of our heritage and excited to highlight the growth within the entertainment sector and contribute in accelerating it in any way possible.”

Mathore also stated that Maisha Magic Plus remains committed to find and develop the right mix of content and deliver shows that people love into their hands and straight into their living rooms.

Sol Family will explore the lives of Savara, Chimano, Bien and Polycarp as well as the stars of Sol Generation; Nviiri and Bensoul and the team behind their management that make the magic happen.

The show will also delve deep into the music-making process and uncover never been seen before aspects of their personal lives that make them tick.

Sol Family will premiere on Sunday 2 August 2020 and will air every Sunday exclusively on Maisha Magic Plus available exclusively on DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact on DStv channel 163.
