“I would never pay bride price, for what? Babu Owino claims as he also reveals why he fell in love with is wife

Apparently Babu Owino is not only opposed to the Lecturers strike but also the much acclaimed African practice of paying Bride Price.

Speaking recently on E Daily, he doesn’t understand why someone should pay to have a woman…for what? She’s not a pair of Nikey sneakers is she? He tended to imply.

According to him, a woman should be handed by her parents or guardian to a deserving man for free.

The question you are probably asking right now is what happened to his wife whom he’s happily married to with a child? Well he was categorical that he doesn’t mind offering appreciation for the effort put in raising a woman worthy of his time.

Which begs question, isn’t that what bride price means? A form of appreciation? I just never understand this man sometimes.

One thing also women who desire him need to understand…but wait he’s taken now….is that he wants his woman to be decent in public but down and dirty in private; I would assume in the bedroom.

Babu Owino trolls DP Ruto after he was exposed for being a ‘dead beat’ dad

The elections are around the corner and DP Ruto’s reputation might have taken a turn for the worst after he was exposed for being a dead beat dad by a woman he got pregnant 12 years ago.

The baby mama who is blaming Ruto for neglecting their child revealed that the DP got her pregnant back in 2005 while he was still married to his legal wife, Rachel.

Babu Owino news

Anyway, the likes of Babu Ownio felt the need to welcome him to the team Mafisi which is popularly known for their thirst towards women.

Through his twitter handle, Babu laughed off at the DP by posting to say…

Let me take this opportunity to officially welcome DP Ruto to the mafisi SACCO!

The DP’s PR team was however quick to correct this by admitting DP Ruto indeed has sired a daughter with the lady, however he was taking care of his child.

SONU Chairman Babu Owino brags about slapping a police officer and how he might actually get away with it

SONU chairman Babu Owino has come out to clarify that he got arrested earlier today for slapping a police officer and not trying to secure the release of Chris Obure.

Earlier reports had come out claiming that he and a gang of University students had stormed Kilimani police station asking for the release of business man Chris Obure. He’s currently held there after threatening to shoot a fellow patron at B-Club in uptown Nairobi.

Now the same Babu Owino came out to deny these allegations citing that the sole reason he was at the station was to secure the release of a fellow comrade who had been apprehended without proper procedure.

President Uhuru Kenyatta crack the whip on Babu Owino

Babu Owino has been at the helm of Students Organisation of Nairobi University – SONU since 2011. But now President Uhuru Kenyatta has made sure the career student wouldn’t seek another term in office.

Paul Ongili Owino aka Babu Owina was first elected the chairman of the students union Nairobi University in the academic year 2011/12.

Babu has been contesting for UoN top seat for the last five years (University elections are held annually). He was nicknamed “career student” due to his decision to vie for SONU chair annually.

Babu’s fight with Mike Jacobs, who accused him of rigging 2016 election, saw parliament pass a law that introduced term limit to students seeking positions within universities’ student council.

Jacobs and Babu’s fight sparked chaos at various UoN campuses; Kenya’s most prestigious public university had be closed to curb the spread of violence.

President Uhuru recently assented the Universities (Amendment) Act 2016 which states that a university student leader will hold office for a one-year term and be eligible for re-election once.

The acts blocks the likes of Babu Owino from seeking office again; but all in all the career student won’t be affected per se because he was to step down to run for Embakasi East parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket.
