Janet Mbugua goes totally rogue after quitting her job at Citizen…Look at the photo she shared online

A somber mood has engulfed the whole of Royal Media Services and their fans and this after one of their most distinguished talents; Janet Mbugua announced she was exiting the station.

As we reported yesterday after speaking to the management, she has expressed interest to leave in order to focus on her young family as she also rejuvenates and reenergizes.

Also read:Exclusive: Citizen’s management confirms Janet Mbugua is leaving the station and this is why

Actually the management was categorical in saying that she was actually just taking a break and she would soon be back, guns blazing.

Way before this shocking and disheartening information could sink within us, Janet Mbugua made yet another announcement on her instagram…that she has gone rogue.

It was all courtesy of this photo of her donning gothic make up and a septum ring which I bet will raise all manner of questions.

Was this her way finally embracing freedom or was she just goofing around?

Here, have a look:

Exclusive: Citizen’s management confirms Janet Mbugua is leaving the station and this is why

Well, as earlier reported by Sue Watiri from Plive, Janet Mbugua is indeed leaving Citizen but for reasons earlier highlighted.

Word initially was that she was given an ultimatum to either focus on her personal stuff or focus on TV; she chose the latter.

Janet Mbugua

Well, we have spoken to the upper echelon at Citizen and they have confirmed that indeed Janet Mbugua has expressed interest to leave. Actually she has asked to take a break and not necessarily leave so that she can focus on taking care of her family with prospects to resume in the future.

They were also very categorical to that the discussions have been very cordial and full of respect.

We wish her success in her future endeavours.

This is what Janet Mbugua allegedly does to Hussein Mohammed that is angering some Kenyans

Janet Mbugua recently found herself in a compromising with some Kenyans who had nothing but hate towards her.

And it all started with this statement:

Some days I’m not so sure of myself, but then I realize how much that feeds my need to grow. To learn. To accept. #TheJourneyWithJanet 🚶🏿‍♀️

A simple statement which in actual sense shouldn’t elicit much attention but which ended up being a hate parade.

It was started off by Wagithi G. Wagithi who had this to say: “I only hate the way you appear like you are commanding Hussein Mohammed on camera. Una ukali mwingi….that one brings you down. Otherwise you are a nice girl.”

Before massacre was done by one Ronny Kiprotich Sirma viciously attacked her. This is what he told her:

“YOU EXIST IN ROYAL MEDIA JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE A KIKUYU OTHERWISE TERRYANNE CHEBET WAS MORE PRODUCTIVE. WAKIKUYU NI WALE WALE!!!!!!…#SURPRISED AT THOSE SAYING U ARE THEIR MENTOR….NO HARD FEELINGS. TRUE STORY.

Ouch!

Here is everything you need to know about the Kikuyu traditional ceremony Janet Mbugua held for her son Huru(photos)

Just in case you missed it, Janet Mbugua and hubby Eddie Ndichu held a traditional wedding for their son Huru over the weekend.

Having made major strides in his growth, it was time to make yet another one; it was now time he was officially introduced to his mothers and grandmothers age mates.

This ceremony in the Kikuyu community is called Itega and its primary purpose is to celebrate the birth of a child. It is an opportunity for the new mother and grandmother to introduce the baby to the community. The community in this case refers to the new mother’s age mates (rika), and more importantly the grand parent’s age mates and close friends.

Also read: This is why Janet Mbugua can’t stop bragging about her husband. This is what he did

The Itega allows the community to meet the baby and celebrate her. This occasion is marked by plenty of food, a slaughtered goat or sheep that is then barbecued, singing and dancing galore and plenty of ululating.

Itega is held when the baby is old enough to deal with new people holding him/her. This is usually from 6 months+ depending upon the preferences of the parents. Having this ceremony too early is not advisable because the baby is passed and bounced around in all the excitement of welcoming her into the family.

Janet Mbugua is actually late as Huru is now 16 months old.

Traditionally, an Itega was held by the womenfolk only, but currently men are encouraged to participate so that they can also be celebrated and congratulated for the accomplishment of adding to the community and that’s why Eddie was also present at the event.

Check out some photos of the event:

Zero chills! Janet Mbugua tears into Kilimani mums… Tells off idle gossipers

You will be mistaken to think Janet Mbugua would show support to Kilimani Mums since it’s women’s group; the Citizen TV anchor has zero tolerance to idle gossipers.

Kilimani Mums group on Facebook is a hotspot for all sort of shocking and sickening confessions and discussions centering on all topics.

The group which provides a platform for women to discuss their issues freely has of late become very controversial due to the kind of posts its members share.

Janet Mbugua is not pleased with what’s happening on Kilimani mums, she blasted idle mums for what she termed as lying to themselves.

The Citizen TV anchor warned idle gossipers to stop discussing other peoples’ marriages, failures etc saying that such behavior would only lead to self- destruction.

“You’ve buried your head in the sand too long. You’re looking for validation from someone, something, but you want to jump to that part without putting in the work to get validation from yourself first.”

“Stop lying to yourself.”

“You sit around gossiping about other people; their failures, their successes, who they married, what they wore, how they walk, what they say…but what does that have to do with how you’re living your purpose? Does it make you feel any better, any more authentic or superior? It does? Therein is where the problem may lie.You see, we’re all terribly flawed, some more than others but I’m beginning to realise that this has a lot to do with where one is in their journey. No excuses for those who refuse to learn! But again, they too are entitled to making and learning from their mistakes.”

“I see friends rally one of their own to walk down a path they know will eventually be self-destructive. Maybe she’s doing too well too soon and they don’t want her to magnify how little they’ve done with their own lives. Maybe he’s too progressive and they don’t want to be the ones playing catch up down the line.”

“Whatever the case, they somehow feel like it gives them the right to make sure this person doesn’t shine. How does this satisfy your ego? Wouldn’t it be better if you shine together? No? Too simplistic for you? I beg to differ.”

“You write out your disdain for someone you haven’t met, ranting, instead of looking inward and asking, ‘What am I doing to change what it is I don’t like about them? How is it helping me if I spend those 5 minutes online, trolling, when I could be building myself?’ You’re projecting and it’s not healthy. Or helpful.”

“Look inwards, if you want to start doing the things that make you truly happy.”

“Look inwards, when you find yourself talking cheap, gossiping for hours on end, shaming, defaming.”

“Look inwards, when you begin to find yourself constantly angry and upset with everything and everyone around you.”

“Look upwards; He will guide you through your journey of self-discovery which, while it can be liberating, is littered with pain, frustration and exhaustion.”

“Look inwards and upwards. Stop looking outwards, you won’t find any peace there.”

This is why Janet Mbugua can’t stop bragging about her husband. This is what he did

An independent woman with the looks of a nubile Nubian queen, who can cook, be a mother to your kids and well, be supportive and clearly that’s what Eddie Ndichu got in Janet Mbugua.

Today he was hanging out with the president to talk matters employment and mobile penetration and we can’t seem to hear the end of it from his lovely wife.

She went on social media and posted the photo giving it a sweet and swagerrific caption making sure everyone recognized who exactly her man was.

As for Ndichu however, you are one lucky lad my brother!

This is the photo and the caption:

“Just my husband with the President of Kenya, Well in Eddie Ndichu! Here he’s talking how youth can access jobs on a mobile platform. #FinTech” The photo was captioned.

There is no doubt Janet Mbugua has one of the sexiest legs of all female celebrities; no wonder she keeps showing them when rocking tiny shorts.

Janet Mbugua has mastered the trick of making mafisi drool like crazy, a few photos of her beautiful leg does the trick.

The Citizen TV anchor must be working really hard to keep her body in a tip-top shape; perhaps workout or strict diet are what has enabled her to look yummy each passing year.

Mama Ethan keeps slaying in tiny shorts; every time she is seen rocking shorts mouths can’t stop wagging.

Below are photos of Janet Mbugua in shorts:

Janet Mbugua opens up about her misery… She was chased away when she auditioned to be a runway model

The Citizen TV anchor tried her hands at various professions before she finally landed a job as a news anchor. Her first attempt to audition as a model was disastrous.

Janet Mbugua did a course in counseling psychology and also did a bit of modeling before she finally landed a job on TV.

“I tried out for many things before landing my current gig as News Anchor/Media Personality. I auditioned to be a Radio Presenter (that eventually worked out)! I took a course in counselling psychology because I’ve always been fascinated by human emotions,” Janet Mbuga wrote.

Mama Ethan revealed that her first attempt in auditioning as a runway model was disastrous as a mentor told her to her face that she would never make it to the runway.

“I auditioned to be a runway model! Now, I’m 5’5, but I didn’t let this bother me, even though the first casting call I was sent to was filled with long legged, amazonian structured gals and guys. I somehow made one of the cuts…it was over 15 years ago so that part remains blurry…”

“When my turn came I decided to be cliche, because I honestly wasn’t even sure what I was doing in that room! I said I wanted to be a runway model and before I could finish, Mentor X interrupted me, ‘How tall are you again?’ ‘5’5?’ I half asked and answered. ‘Stop right there; you’ll never make it to the runways, so you need to pick a different dream. Be realistic’. Her words verbatim. The room went silent with everyone trying not to look me in the eye. Of course it stung because it just felt unnecessary. Plus I was all of 17 years old…”

Janet says the mentor’s corrosive words only fired up her self esteem as years later she walked the runways of Malaysia against all odds.

“I’m not sure how I picked myself up from that but something in me clicked. I had to choose to believe in me if no one else did. I’m so glad I made that decision! I would later walk the runways of Malaysia”

Eddie Ndichu reveals how helpless he felt seeing Janet Mbugua in Labour

Janet Mbugua welcomed her son in 2015, October 26th and this was the most emotional day for her husband who had been standing with her throughout the pregnancy journey.

In a post shared by Eddie Ndichu on his wife’s blog we have every reason to believe that Janet Mbugua had a caesarean section and not vaginal birth. Not surprising at all as there is an increasing numbers of women today who appear to prefer delivering by caesarean section as it is quick in comparison to most labours.

Anyway, Eddie Ndichu opened up about how scared he was to watch his small wife in labour as she lay on a theatre bed waiting to deliver their baby.

I MAKE IT INTO THE THEATRE AND FIND HER SMALL BODY LAY ON THE TABLE ALL COVERED IN SURGICAL CLOTH. SHE SMILES AND I SEE SHE IS AWAKE AND NERVOUS. SHE SAYS, “I CAN’T FEEL ANYTHING”. SO I HOLD HER HAND AND KISS HER FOREHEAD GENTLY. I SAID TO HER, “THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING”. OUR CHARMING DOCTOR NARRATES, “NOT FAR TO GO… ANY MINUTE NOW”, AS HIS TEAM OPERATES ON MY WIFE. BY THIS TIME I AM SWEATING.

Eddie Ndichu went further to how worried he was about their unborn son. He kept questioning whether his son was healthy despite all the prenatal visits to their doctor.
eddie-ndichu1

ALL I COULD HOPE IS THAT HE IS GOING TO BE IN ONE PIECE. TWO EYES, TWO EARS, TEN FINGERS AND TOES. IS HE GOING TO BE OF SOUND MIND? HAVE ALL HIS BODY PARTS DEVELOPED COMPLETELY? WILL HE BREATHE, WILL HE CRY? THEN IN A MATTER OF SECONDS THE DOCTOR LITERALLY FLINGS HIM IN THE AIR AND SAYS ‘HERE HE IS’! THIS TINY LITTLE BODY HANGING IN THE AIR COVERED IN MUCUS. I BARELY GOT A GLIMPSE OF HIS FACE BEFORE THEY SENT HIM TO HAVE HIS CORD CUT.
I SEE TEARS ON MY WIFE’S FACE AS SHE LAYS HELPLESSLY. I COULD SEE HOW BADLY SHE WANTED TO HOLD HIM. I CLENCH HER HAND EVEN TIGHTER AND CONSOLE HER. HE WAS WHISKED AWAY FOR NORMAL CHECKS AND A WIPE DOWN. THE DOCTOR ALLOWS ME TO GO AROUND AND WATCH THE NURSE AND HIM. IN MY EXCITEMENT I GO AROUND THE FROM WHERE MY DEAR WIFE IS CUT OPEN…. THAT’S FOR ANOTHER BLOG!!!,”

He continued.

Since this was their first child, the couple now understands the journey better and will hopefully apply the knowledge they have when planning for their second child.

“Is he going to be of sound mind?” Janet Mbugua’s husband reveals the biggest fear he had about their newborn son

Ethan Huru Ndichu was born on October 26th 2015. Janet Mbugua’s husband, Eddie Ndichu, has decided to talk about the fear that engulfed him that day his son was born.

Mr. Nidichu revealed that he was shaking with fear when doctors escorted him to the operating theater where his wife was to deliver.

“It has been over 14 months but I remember the day vividly. I was escorted to the doctors changing rooms to wear pair of scrubs. I was shaking with nerves. I couldn’t feel my entire body as I changed. The thoughts going through my head were that this is really happening and that my wife is on a table all by herself,” Eddie Ndichu wrote in part.

Baba Ethan says that several things crossed his mind as he was waiting to see his son; top being physical development of the baby.

“All I could hope is that he is going to be in one piece. I barely got a glimpse of his face before they sent him have his cord cut. I see tears on my wife’s face as she lays helplessly. I could see how badly she wanted to hold him. I clench her hand even tighter and console her. He was whisked away for normal checks and a wipe down. The doctor allows me to go around and watch the nurse and him. In my excitement I go around the from where my dear wife is cut open….”

Eddie’s fears evaporated when he finally got time to examine Baby Ethan, he didn’t have any deformities.

“I get there and now fully see his features. His little limbs, toes fingers ears and eyes, all there! His hair, oh my so much hair, thats definitely not from me! He is so pale and light and can’t quite make out who he looks like. Then a sound comes out. I am excited. I am now a father, I could even explain the feeling. It was an overwhelming sense of responsibility mixed with a strong sense of accomplishment and joy. The nurse quickly wraps him and hands him over to me to take to my wife. I couldn’t help feel like I was going to drop him. I finally make it to her. She could barely hold him so I move him close to her face. She touches him and rubs him on her face. Her eyes filled with tears.”

“Am taking a break with Baba Huru” Janet Mbugua narrates how marriage and work have weighed down on her

Striking a balance between marriage and work is not easy; Janet Mbugua has been burdened with the two and now she has resorted to start all over again.

Apart from just anchoring news at Citizen TV, Janet Mbugua also runs other projects that require her input; she is the brainchild of Inua Dada, a foundation started to protect the rights of the girl child.

It was during a presentation of her vision of Inua Dada to a group of women at the Karen Country Club on December 14th that Janet realized she was tired, jaded and discouraged.

janet-mbugua-at-karen-country-club

The Citizen anchor revealed she had burnt out as she struggled to focus on her work and tending to her family.

Janet says she has resorted to going back to her passion projects and taking a break with her son and husband as a measure of fixing her problems.

“I learnt that yesterday, as I presented my vision of Inua Dada to a group of women at the Karen Country Club who so kindly invited me to do so. But I learnt so much more about myself in the process. A few days before this presentation I took a moment to reflect. I realized that I wanted to start over, to re-align myself so that I cam move forward with my projects with clarity. I realized I’m tired, jaded and discouraged, feeling like I’ve been taking on too much at the same time. To top it all of, I’m raising a new family and running a home. I’m burnt out. But I’m glad I know, so that I can fix it. And fixing it for me begins with going back to my passion projects, where my fire burns most. That and taking a break with Baby Huru and Baba Huru, which is in the works  So I’m at a point where I’m going back to the beginning, resetting my life and starting over. Pushing reset. That goes for my projects as well. I’ve realized that sometimes it’s ok to go back to basics. It’s ok to feel frustrated and jaded as long as you can get to the root cause and begin working it out. It’s ok not to be ok…sometimes. As long as you’re willing to fix it. People around you may not understand it but that’s fine, because you need to be healthy for you before you can be healthy for others.” Janet Mbugua wrote.

This is the Confession Janet Mbugua made Today that will Make you start viewing her Differently

Even the mightiest of them all sometimes get worn out and Janet Mbugua is a true testament. The TV sensation cum mother/ wife/ Fashionista and philanthropist today  proclaimed that she’s tired, jaded and discouraged proving to us mortals that she’s one of us.

Not tired of her husband of course ( look at you!) but of her many roles. She made this realization when she was called upon to do a presentation at the Karen Country Club on women empowerment and she realized she couldn’t do it.(something most of us go through)

“A FEW DAYS BEFORE THIS PRESENTATION I TOOK A MOMENT TO REFLECT. I REALIZED THAT I WANTED TO START OVER, TO RE-ALIGN MYSELF SO THAT I CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH MY PROJECTS WITH CLARITY. THAT AND TAKING A BREAK WITH BABY HURU AND BABA HURU, WHICH IS IN THE WORKS ” She narrated in her blog.

The presentation was part of her Inua dada initiative which she started to empower young women and her girls.

She further went ahead to talk about how she had finally unraveled the puzzle and how indeed she was going to bounce back, in 2017 we presume.

Janet Mbugua in sneakers
Janet Mbugua looking fashionable than ever

“I’VE REALIZED THAT SOMETIMES IT’S OK TO GO BACK TO BASICS. IT’S OK TO FEEL FRUSTRATED AND JADED AS LONG AS YOU CAN GET TO THE ROOT CAUSE AND BEGIN WORKING IT OUT. IT’S OK NOT TO BE OK…SOMETIMES. AS LONG AS YOU’RE WILLING TO FIX IT. PEOPLE AROUND YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND IT BUT THAT’S FINE, BECAUSE YOU NEED TO BE HEALTHY FOR YOU BEFORE YOU CAN BE HEALTHY FOR OTHERS.”

Wise words to end the year if you ask me.
