The country is in a mood of Nostalgia and this is because Obama or rather Potus is vacating the oval office after an 8 year stint.
An all encompassing president with charisma from here to Timbuktu was loved and loathed in equal measure but one thing we can’t take away from him is his ability to be funny and entertain at the same time.
And funny moments he did have and that’s what we’ll focus on today just for pure entertainment as we head into the weekend. And here we go with no particular order:
This photo of him playing with a kid masquerading as spider man showed us his ability to handle kids while at the same time let go and have fun. Can we also forget his ability to pose for a photo?
The second time when Potus caught everyone’s attention is when he tweeted for the first time; his tweet was just so casual and cool you just wanted to be him.
What about that time when he was asked about Joe Biden? Well, his response was simply moving. ‘I tease Joe sometimes, but he has been at my side for seven years, I love that man. He’s not just a great vice president, he is a great friend. We’ve gotten so close in some places in Indiana; they won’t serve us pizza anymore.’ He described the man.
And just something our artists can learn about being a superstar, he dropped the microphone at his last White House correspondents’ dinner and showed the likes of Designer just how exactly to do it.
And what about his haters? And he had like a gazillion? He gave zero f*cks like it was demonstrated on this Jimmy Kimmel show where he read out all the mean tweets about him. You can listen to it here.
Lastly, the one moment Kenyans will forever hold dear is when he came to Kenya and made president Uhuru wait first as he hugged his half sister Auma. He clearly showed us that family should always come first no matter what.
