Sauti Sol apologize to the president for putting him on the spot in regards to Studio Mashinani and Kenyans are not happy…including this radio presenter from Royal Media

A few weeks back Bien of Sauti Sol hit social and put it all ablaze after claiming he and his fellow band members had been stolen from.

Of course this caught the attention of all of us and we were yearning to have a go at the thieves…who dares still from our boys; the only boys who have made at attempt to break the international barrier in terms of music?

He narrated of how they had come up with a concept, did the paper work and gave the right people to implement it; by the right people I mean the president of this country, his Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta.

They claimed that their idea was now under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Information and they were not slightly involved and for that they needed an explanation.

Those were serious accusations and he promised to divulge more!

We waited and waited up until Saturday 25th March, when they issued a statement-not as Bien but as Sauti Sol.

The wind had changed and they wanted to apologize to the president for obviously making him look bad and claimed that they had engaged the Ministry of Information and realized they all shared the same purpose and mission.

This statement was not received with much Pumper and glamour and majority of their fans felt like they had sold out… that they give in to the whims of the government. Some gentleman who happens to be a radio presenter and Royal Media Services went ahead to suggest they got in bed with a corrupt government and actually caved.

The true fans on the other hand understood where they were coming from and wished them well. Check out the statement and some of the comments:

Bridget Achieng has revealed her celebrity crush and the man she would have loved to settle down with in another life, if given that chance.

Speaking to Ghafla the Nairobi Diaries star revealed that she has always eyed Bien from Sauti Sol and just like most women, the lass feels that he has this ‘drive’ that keeps women on their toes.

The lady went on to say that he looks like a man who has good bedroom skills and this is why she has always wanted him.

This is the hot chick from Mozambique Sauti Sol’s Bien has been spotted cozying up to…he even played her a song on his piano(video)

Sauti Sol is currently in Mozambique and guess who’s savouring the full experience, Bien of course.

Apart from sampling various delicacies at Serena Mozambique and taking selfies by the beach, he’s also taking time to explore and make some friends.

He seems particularly enthralled by some hot light skinned lass who spoke totally sexy Portuguese and whom he couldn’t get his hands off.

Here is a photo of the two chilling at the piano:

Bien

And it think they bonded quite a lot until Bien decided to sing her a love song; Isabella just to be specific…maybe she’s his Isabella from Maputo.

Here is the video:

Nakuru comes to life as Chrome Vodka street bash makes it’s way down there(PHOTOS)

Nakuru came to life over the weekend as Chrome Vodka Street Bash made its way down there.

And trust me things really got lit, I think more than the Nairobi edition.

Nakuru people how to party and they party hard…..getting into the venue way before 10 PM and getting things fired up.

The ladies were looking absolutely stunning in their cute little dresses while the dudes came ready to spend; a perfect remedy for a good party.

The performances were great starting with the DJ for the night Creepa who kept the crowd entertained and going all the way to Sauti Sol who were basically the highlight of the night.

I can’t also fail to mention Juacali who drove the crowd into frenzy and Sanaipei’s Tande Mfalme wa Mapenzi performance which was just off the chains.

Here are some of the photos of the great night:

Former KBC anchor talks about managing Sauti Soul before they hired Czech Republic’s Marek Fuchs… She organized their first concert in 2008

Before the fame and money, Kenya’s most successful music group, Sauti Sol, was being managed by former KBC news anchor.

The group which comprises of Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, Savara Mudigi and Polycarp Otieno are the most sough-after musicians in Kenya; they boasts of international recognitions such as MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act and MTV Africa Music Award for Best Group.

Sauti Sol’s success is partly attributed to their Czech manager Marek Fuchs.

But before Fuchs came to the picture, former Trend and KBC anchor Njambi Koikai was the one managing Sauti Sol.

Njambi Koikai on the Trend

Njambi reminisced about her days managing Sauti Sol, she recounted how she organized Sauti Sol’s first ever show which went down in 2008.

“A couple of years ago while managing Sauti Sol….that first show was everything. I journal everything I go through. Was praying to meet the German ambassador then who had organised the Kikwetu Festival, never happened. But the boys are now superstars!!!” Njambi wrote.

Savara Mudigi begs for forgiveness after his harsh video that has left fans disappointed in his pride

It’s barely a week since Savara was discharged from hospital and the well wishing messages he was receiving have turned to bitter comments from fans from his and Sauti Sol Instagram pages.

Savara Mudigi
Savara Mudigi

The drama started when Savara posted a video complaining that one of his friends paid him a visit at his place. But, he did not appreciate this since the guy had smelly feet. The video went viral since it seemed all fan and games at first before the bold fans started calling him out for his attitude reminding him that no one is perfect.

From the comments, many fans were clearly disappointed that Savara had the guts to troll someone who had set aside his own time just to pay him a visit out of respect and love.

One fan went to an etetent of saying his pride was the main reason he was the least liked Sauti Sol member (really now?) Anyway Savara has come out to apologize for the comments he made in the video. The fella wrote to say,

The other day I shared my sentiments via my usual IWEJEEEE videos. Sitting here reading your comments, I realize that only human and prone to mistakes. What i said might have come out as being ungrateful. To all my fans, please accept my sincere apologies. My road to recover continues.

“Anything can happen if you dare run away from God” Sauti sol’s Savara Mudigi opens up a few days after his accident

Savara Mudigi is currently recuperating from a knee injury he sustained after an accident during a team building exercise at Purdy bar and restaurant in Karen.

The singer has been receiving a lot of messages from fans as they wish him quick recovery. He has also been receiving visitors at the Nairobi women’s hospital where he has been admitted for a couple of days now.

Anyway, in a recent interview with Mseto East Africa, Savara opened up for the first time and judging from what he said, seems that the renown singer had regrets for having strayed away from God.

“Even though the year is young, I’ve gone through a short period that has shown me what can happen if you dare run away from God. I’ve been through an eye opening situation that has made me appreciate the little things that matter.”

Savara went on to reveal that despite everything, he is learning not to take anything for granted. He feels lucky to have escaped a car accident at the beginning of the year and though he hurt his knee a few days he is grateful to be alive. He went on to thank his fans for the messages and prayers. He said,

I would love to thank all my fans for the support during this difficult time. The whole story is that I had an accident at the beginning of the year and didn’t get a major injury and then in a small mishap this week I got my knee injured and had to undergo a surgery. Let’s not take for granted the moments that we treasure. To all the Sauti Sol and Savara fans let’s stick together. This year will be filled with more blessings and you will be part of the journey. I need you and thank you for being present

Back when Sauti Sol members could ‘holla’ at a fine lady and get ignored (Photo)

As far as I know, Sauti Sol had a humble beginning but their efforts have seen them become one of the most popular boy bands in Africa.

They now roll with big artistes and are surrounded by the finest ladies not only in Africa but world wide. However before all this fame and money, their was a time these boys could not get a text back from some ladies.

Bien apparently had some dry lips, fancyfingers aka Polycarp had only one sweater and his only bae was food and Savara Mudigi had a hairstyle that could ruin any hairdressers day now.

I know all this thanks to a photo posted on their official Instagram page. Judging from the photo collage, I can say that Bien and Fancy fingers had it easy somehow however Savara’s style and hair has given me an idea of what poverty had done to them back in the day before they became the hottest beings in the industry.

Well. if you doubt me then you can checkout their throwback photo below:

Sauti Sol Finally Respond to Bob Collymore’s Jab that they should dress better…..He might not like this one bit

My list would not be complete without Sauti Sol. These young men make me so proud. They take their craft seriously and they are making waves globally. I’d just be happier if they would buy new clothes that don’t have holes in them, and not so tight,” That’s what Bob Collymore said in a recent interview that sent shock waves all across social media.

Read it here: “I’d just be happier if they would buy new clothes that don’t have holes in them” Bob Collymore takes a dig at Sauti Sol

He was talking matters Kenyan music and which of the latter he listens to. And Sauti Sol he does enjoy because as we have established courtesy of Sauti Sol’s publicist Anyiko Awoko, he even invites them to his house and they sing along to some melodies while sipping some single malt Whiskey.

He also supports them a lot having offered to market their music for free when they recently dropped their Live and Die Africa album so it must have been really awkward for them when he made the statement.

Sauti Sol pose for a photo

Being Ghafla, I posed the question to them and they did have an answer. According to Anyiko, he doesn’t have to like their outfits as its human nature to want and be attracted to different things.  So it’s cool, no news there. And when I asked her whether they would be toning down after the Bob’s opinion; she was categorical that that was never going to happen.

Actually they are meeting a group of designers as we speak and they are looking into advancing their wardrobe. To make it more crazy or modest, I don’t know….All I know is that they are going ham in terms of their fashion sense this year.

“I’d just be happier if they would buy new clothes that don’t have holes in them” Bob Collymore takes a dig at Sauti Sol

It’s not the first time Kenya’s most successful music group has come under attack for their choice of dressing; only this time round it’s Safaricom CEO taking a dig at them.

Sometimes in December 2015, Sauti Sol was labeled the new brand ambassadors for ‘Kick Malaria Out Of Africa’ campaign after they rocked mosquito net-like outfit at a concert at the Coast.

One year down the line, the singing quartet has once again been criticized for their choice of dressing. This time round it’s Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore who gave them a piece of his mind.

While responding to a question on the kind of music he listens to, Collymore revealed Sauti Sol’s music had a place in his heart but went to say that he had major issue with the group’s style of dressing.

“My list would not be complete without Sauti Sol. These young men make me so proud. They take their craft seriously and they are making waves globally. I’d just be happier if they would buy new clothes that don’t have holes in them, and not so tight,” Bob Collymore said.

Nitolee photocopy: The striking resemblance bewteen Sauti Sol’s Polycarp and his father

The apple does not fall far from the tree and Sauti Sol’s Polycarp can easily relate with this as he seems to have taken after his father’s looks.

The chilled out guitarist and song writer posted an old photo from the past that clearly indicated that he had definitely taken after his dad now that he is a grown man.

He posted the photo to reminisce about the good hard days and maybe revel in all the good he managed to accomplish in the years he has been singing. He however captioned it with a sweet message wishing his family a happy new year.

Happy new year from the coolest, baddest, doppest crew!!

This is the watch Savara Mudigi of Sauti Sol rocks which costs a whooping 250k

When you define success in Music and mostly in Africa, then you have to put Sauti Sol in there.

The boy band has beaten all odds to show that you can make a living in Kenya courtesy of music and in the process become a star. They have also proven that with hard work you can you scoop awards across the globe, hold down your own tour and make crazy money while at it.

Now come on, with all that success, you don’t expect them to live small now do you? Especially for Savara Mudigi who doubles up as a producer and one of the lead vocalists in the group.

Well, not at all. Not only does he drive a German car but also dons a time piece worth a whooping 250K. I didn’t believe it either when I bumped to him earlier.

The conversation went a little like this;

Me: Cool watch man!

Savara: Asante bro- (he speaks Swahili just to make us think he’s humble)

Me: How much does it cost?

Savara: *Chuckles* Not a lot…

Me: Sema bei

Savara: *Chuckles some more while trying to switch up the topic* Wewe wachana na hiyo story

Of course being Ghafla I had to go and Google and then bam! A f*cking 250K!

What I’m I doing with my life!

Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime celebrates 29th birthday in low key party this past weekend (Photos)

Bien Aime got to celebrate his 29th birthday party with friends and family at the Osita lodge in Rongai this Sunday 8th 2016. The star studded party had been planned by his girlfriend, Chiki Kuruka who was helped by Ruth Anyiko and just like Polycarp’s this was also an invites only party.

The party was not only graced by the Sauti Sol members but the like of Nyashinski among other celebrities who had been invited to celebrate the special day with Bien Aime. Ghafla was also in the house to party and mingle with the artistes.

Apart from the cake session and speeches, there were a couple of special performances from Nyashinski who blew the crowd with Mungu Pekee which seems to an anthem now. Ndegz, Bigpin and Nameless also performed giving the fans and a taste of the oldskool vibe that most people related with.

Tallia Oyando was also in the building looking hotter than ever.  Anyway below are a few photos courtesy of Ghafla.

Was Sauti Sol’s Savara Mudigi drunk when his car was involved in a road accident?

Sauti Sol fine looking member Savara Mudigi was involved in a minor road accident on Thursday morning along the Dennis Pritt road however the singer escaped with no injuries according to the reports making rounds on social media.

However, rumour had it that the singer was intoxicated while driving but as usual the singer has come forth to deny the stories. Mudugi claims he was very sober and was driving to the studio when his car was involved in a minor accident.

Speaking to NairobiNews the singer says most people have been posting the story without getting their facts right and this is ruining his reputation.

Savara Mudigi
Savara Mudigi

I was not drunk and you can even check with the police records, my car only sustained a small scratch since it was not a big impact. I do not kow why the public might want to blow it out of proportion and going further to to post lies on social media without getting their facts correct.

It is not clear whether the eye witness who was at the site saw his own things but from his tweet, he seems quite confident that the Sauti Sol singer was under the influence when his car was involved in the accident.

Tunajua Ukona Kitambi! Sanaipei Tande blasted for faking a flat tummy (Photos)

Sanaipei Tande has added couple of pounds in the past few months and there is no denying it. She however looks good, but the lass seems a bit uncomfortable with her body or should i say her killer ‘Kitambi?’

sanaipei Tande
Sanaipei Tande Performing at the sauti sol event

Her insecurity for having a big tummy was proven in a photo that was recently taken at the Sauti sol event held at Baricho road on Saturday evening. Sanaipei was accused of sucking in her stomach to make it look flat as she posed for a photo with Bien Aimes.

sanaipei Tande
Sanaipei accused of faking a flat tummy

The singer posted the photo on her Instagram showing off her ‘toned tummy’ as she pulled a green crop top and a pair of low waist jeans. However, fans immediately noticed the photo was faked (at the tummy) since it looked weirdly flat from the other photos taken while she was performing.

Fans began calling her out for it while others made of of it saying she almost squeezed out her life trying to fake a flat tummy.

“She is like..squeezing for that dear life
