Crystal Newman to Host Uganda Festival in Washington DC

When celebrated radio host Crystal Newman Quit her, and a career in radio, she definitely had a lot planned for already. On top of her currently booming You tube Channel, Crystal 1on1 and Crystal Bites, this lady was awaiting the Uganda Festival, where she swill be an official host in Washington DC. The announcement was made earliar this year, and the emcee/ former Sanyu FM presenter, shared just how excited she is.

“I’m all set & ready to host this year’s Uganda Festival in Washington DC In just a few days, there will be an explosion of Ugandan awesomeness in the US! Let’s celebrate our culture with great entertainment, fashion & food. Can’t wait to meet you there, ” she wrote

The Uganda Festival is an event organized by Ugandans in North America to celebrate their heritage. This is done under the UNAA Causes umbrella, and features multiple artists, making live music for the Ugandans in Diaspora, their friends and family. In 2017, the event was held in  Las Vegas, but this time, it will be in the capital city of America. We are Looking forward to it!

Crystal Newman Retires From Radio After 18 Years

Her face is definitely not new to your TV set, and her voice has always been on your radio. Crystal Newman, presenter on Sanyu FM, has quit career in radio, after 18 years.This personality used to host the Sanyu Drive show every Thursday evening at 5pm and Celeb Select every,  Saturday afternoon countdown. We learnt about this through a Facebook post that she shared over the previous week.

“Today will be my last day presenting on #SanyuDrive on 88.2 Sanyu FM.

After 18 years, I have decided to make a change and start a new chapter. I have shared half my life on air with you.☺ From being a young girl at university to getting married to having three babies and fleshing out so many other roles at the same time.

It has truly been a privilege and an honor! I have learnt so much from the people I have worked and interacted with. Blessings. And in whatever small way, I pray that I have had a positive impact on your life. I am so excited about what lies ahead…

Crystal Newman has never been a girl afraid of taking challenges. On top of her Radio Career, she has also been an emcee for many events across the country. Not forgetting all this, in 2011 this amazing personality represented Uganda at the Mrs World contest in Florida. We wish you luck in your next step.
