Awilo Longomba legendary concert to feature Jackie and cindy

The Legendary  Awilo Longomba will be coming to Uganda this April to thrill lingala lovers with some of his timeless hits that have transcended generations.

The organizers have named the Ugandan acts who will be performing alongside the legend are; Levixone, dance hall queen Cindy and Jackie Chandiru for whom it will be her first major performance since her recovery.  The concert will take place on April 5th show, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

An excited Jackie posted, “I will be jamming on the same stage with the legend, Awilo Longomba come April 5th at the Kampala Serena Hotel,”

Burundi’s Charmant Mushaga, will also perform for a memorable night.

Tickets to the show are already available for purchase for the concert that is organized by Cents Events and proudly sponsored by The Singleton, Kampala Serena Hotel, NTV Uganda, Spark TV, Capital FM, Beat FM, and Cents events.

Jackie Chandiru to make a return to music

Jackie Chandiru has set out to return to the music scene after going silent for quite some years for rehabilitation. Jackie who was a part of the most successful girl group Blu*3 for many years alongside Lillian Mbabazi and Cindy Sanyu fell off the wagon since her white husband left her and she fell into drug abuse.

Jackie is said to have been using Heroine and cocaine excessively that caused her mental disorder where she had to leave the public eye to get healing. She is now fully recovered and has recorded music with Chameleone and will resume live performances.

She said in an interview that she is here to take Sheebah off the top female artist crown which rightfully belongs to her.

Things took a turn for the worst when Jackie married an elderly white man who turned out to be a con man. She then too out her frustration on Drugs like Cocacine and heroin which affected her brain and landed her in rehab.

Since she has been out, she has tried a return to music and her husband to no avail and she has now turne to God.

Confessing her sins and giving her life to God, Jackie told her story and how thankful she is to be alive.

“I went through a very dark time and up to date I can’t believe I am still alive and whatever chance I have, I will thank God”Jackie Chandiru told Pastor Robert Kayanja and the congregation.
