It is a birth month for Maurices around the world. Both Kirya and NTV News presenter, Ochol, have brought to this world, little daughters. Fatherhood is indeed going to be an interesting adventure for Maurice Kirya. Having gotten his first baby, he thanked his wife for the beautiful gift she has given him. Maurice Kirya Welcomes Baby Girl

Ladies… the irresistible Maurice Kirya is now COMPLETELY out of bounds. We just have news coming in from his family, that they have welcomed their first baby. He unveiled his girlfriend, Lisa, to his fans after his concert, and this year, he gave her a baby bump.

We are now tapping information from his Instagram, as he shared an amazing photo with his baby daughter, and captioned it; “I’m in love! Oh what a joy it is to meet you! #BabyGoals”

We always knew that Maurice Kirya was not to be part of this third world country of ours. His music was too deep and carefully created to speak to the heart. He also dated some Ugandan chics but they were not fitting into the box. At the start of the  year we received news that he had a white girlfriend and she was heavily pregnant. Now we have pictures of a clear baby bump.

Maurice posted on his wall, “so in love with these two” as he shared a wonderful picture of the baby bump. I guess it is time to settle down for the lyricist, songwriter and performer. Congratulations.

Vampino gets his first Gig with in a Week of making Maurice Kirya his Manager

Looks like Maurice Kirya might make a better manager for his brother- singer Elvis Kirya aka Vampino. Just less than a week on the job, the Mwoyo Gwa Kirya singer has already signed up a new weekly gig for his brother.

Vampino was earlier this week confirmed to headline a weekly theme party at the new Happy Boyz bar extension located in Kiwatule, just before the famous PK supermarket. Sometime last week, the ‘smart wire’ singer announced that he had fired his manager and immediately replaced him with his singing brother Maurice Kirya.

The new theme night has been dubbed ‘The Variety Night,’ and will be hosted by NBS TV Katchup co-presenter MC Isaac. Great start Maurice, and we wish all the best to the brotherhood combination!

Vampino Fires Manager and Hires Brother Maurice Kirya

We don’t know whether brothers can manage each other in the same field of work but Maurice Kirya as of now is the manager of his brother Vampino.

This comes after the dancehall musician relieved his manager of his duties a few days ago over misappropriation of funds.

On Saturday evening, Vampino through social media announced that Maurice Kirya was his new manager and we thought it was a joke not until today when he posted a pic of his former manager with a huge ‘Fired’ word cutting across the picture. He even went ahead and tagged the manager in the post. Talk about having zero chills!

“Just fired my manager…in the pic is my new manager,” he posted, accompanying it with a picture of him and Maurice Kiirya.

When we contacted Vampino to let us in on what happened with his former manager known as Roden Show, the Kwekunyakunyaartiste just told us a lot happened that he couldn’t contain.

Maurice, who is a soul musician, has never been a manager before but this could be all about blood brotherhood.

Maurice Kirya releases Safe Sex awareness song “Head master”

Maurice Kirya continues to prove that he has mastered the art of creative song writing.  This new tune headmaster is a clever take on safe sex awareness and the effects of it.

It a luganda song with a lot of caution to the terms and connotations of HIV references. The delivery of course is flawless in Kirya’s signature acoustic style.

This music cuts across all generations not only because of the message, but also the delivery.

Maurice Kirya is expecting his first child.

Sensational soul artist Maurice Kirya is expecting his first child with white girl friend. The two have dated for a long time in a very hush hush relationship until recently when he posted a picture of them skiing.

Maurice has been Uganda’s most eligible bachelor since he started his music career in the early 2000s. Although he showed no signs of setting down for the most part, he has been linked to many girls in Kampala including Seanice Kacungira and Flavia Tumusiime.

The others

The most notable one however was one with Jemimah Kyazze a daughter to reknown pastor Kyazze. He dramatically opted for the clean shave as opposed to his signature shaggy Afro which prompted the idea that the pastor demanded for a makeover.

The relationship ended under unclear circumstances and he has not been linked to anyone in a serious relationship. No w we know he went outside the borders.

Either way we are happy for you Maurice.  Congratulations.

Maurice Kirya wows at Roast and Rhyme (photos)

Roast and Rhyme is fast becoming another calendar event to look out for and this year Uganda’s sweetheart Maurice Kirya wowed.

The theme

People dress in as little clothing as possible because it a the lakeside and eats lots and lots of meat.

This the soul music reigned supreme with artists like Kabuye Semboga, Joseph Saxx, Myko Ouma and James Ssewa.

Ugandan Celebrities Join Wildlife anti-poaching Campaign

Some of the celebrities in Uganda have decided to do something to protect wildlife. Musicians, Irene Ntale and Maurice Kirya, plus Kansiime Anne, Uganda’s popular comedian have joined the “poaching steals from us” awareness campaign.

According to various sources, this awareness action is to educate the public about the importance of different animals in the country, that are victim to poachers.

The campaign was launched by Uganda Wildlife Authority, Uganda Conservation Foundation and Wildlife Aid Uganda. These chosen celebrities are to take part in different short adverts and documentaries that communicate and explain to the public, the cultural and economic importance of preserving wildlife.

In addition to this, the campaign wants to eradicate bush meat poaching and illegal killing of the already few species of animals that we have in the country today.

“Ugandans are rightly extremely concerned that their natural and cultural heritage is being threatened by poachers and the illegal trade in wildlife,” said Michael Keigwin, the founder of Uganda Conservation Foundation.

In addition to this, the Executive director of Uganda Wildlife Authority, Andrew Segura also explained that they were responsible for looking for new innovative ways to promote conservation of wildlife in Uganda today.

This is a very brilliant move indeed and I believe the characters in play are going to do an amazing job.
