Ugandan Oxford Student, Lulu Jemimah Gets Married to Herself

If you are in your late twenties and early thirties, then you know how much pressure you get, especially to find a spouse. From family, from friends, and from posts on Social Media. News coming in has caused shock all over the world, as Ugandan Oxford student, Lulu Jemimah tied the note with the person she thought would make the best partner. Herself!

At 32 years, she was tired of being pestered by her parents, and decided to get them off her back. She ordered a wedding dress, and set up a Go Fund me Page, to raise money for her ceremony. She explained;

“My father wrote my wedding speech when I turned 16. Every birthday, my mother prays for me and in recent years this has included a plea for a good husband. Someone to take care of me. I decided to put them all at ease. I got married on my 32nd birthday to the one person I am certain will take care of me.”

True meaning of happiness

Lulu previously was once a freelance journalist and a communications consultant for the International Organization for Migration, but attained a BA Media (film) scholarship from Macquarie University in Australia in 2013. That was when she got an admission at Oxford, to do a Masters in Creative writing from August this year.

This is a commitment which will be very had to break. Good luck in your marriage!
