She gave a show stopping performance at her Omwooyo Concert, and made people feel like they where watching Rihanna perform.

The props, the dancers and the outfits, everything was perfect, and this lady queen made it rain on the stage.

A week ago, the Pornography Control Committee issued a warning to singer Sheebah Karungi over her sensual dress code. However, the Team No Sleep singer hit back saying her dress code has nothing to do with her personal integrity.

“What I put on only reflects what I want as a fashionable person, sometimes their either short or long depending on the mood. But it has nothing to do with my personal integrity. People just have to change their mind set on that. Anyone who thinks my dress code reflects what I am will be surprised the day he/she meets me personally”, Sheebah while on an interview with Spark TV.

“I’m a very big role model to their children, for that I deserve some respect,” she added.

Sheebah also questioned the committee’s shift of blame to only the local artistes urging that; “The TVs their children watch play songs from Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé who also have nudity in their videos but because Sheebah is Ugandan, she is the only one you pin to respect the dress-code norms.”

Singer Sheebah Karungi could see her worst days coming her way after enjoying years of success.

News reaching our desk indicates that the “Nkwatako” hitmaker who prefers to make public appearances in semi-naked outfits could face jail anytime soon.

Our snoops have learnt that the Pornographic Control Committee issued a warning to Sheebah to rectify her indecent dressing or else risk several years in jail.

While addressing the media, the committee chairperson Annet Kezabu said, ” I saw a picture of Sheebah and she was naked. She was only wearing a net with a swimming costume but even the costume was transparent. These are some of the people we are going to go after. We need to wake up and fight this monster. Porn is a monster.”

She also warned all other musicians from dressing indecently during a press conference in Kalangala.

It is remembered that this committee was inaugurated by Ethics and Integrity minister Simon Lokodo in August 2017 to prevent the use and spread of pornographic materials and information.

Renounce our family name – Sheebah relatives

After her father was buried last Sunday, Sheebah has been the topic of discussion amongst her family members.

Sheeba’s elder brother Swaibu Senfuka confirmed to the media that the singer is his true blood sister.

“Sheebah is our blood sister and her true name is Samari Njagala Karungi and before our father died he told me how he had cursed the singer. He had also disowned her as his daughter,” he said.

Apparently her dress code is in lawful in the Islam faith in which she was born. This they say is so much shame to their family therefore the call out to her to renounce her name.

“Let her come home officially and declare that the name our father gave her is dropped. We don’t want also to associate with her. We also don’t need anything from. Let her keep her fame and money. She has ashamed our family enough. Some time back, she came home to bury a relative and she only stayed in her car”, one of the sisters spoke to the media.

She left her father’s family at the age of 9 and they haven’t met someone since. He didn’t provide for her maintenance or school fees.

We are yet to hear from Sheebah.

Sheebah Karungi speaks out on her Coke Studio Experience

Sheebah Karungi is currently the most sought after artist in Uganda and now Africa has realized her talent.

Sheebah was Recently featured on coke studio Africa which one of the most prestigious opportunities in music today where artists from all over Africa collaborate across genres to make new music.

On coke studio this time round, Sheebah was paired with Asegnew Ashko from Ethiopia and Tanzanian rapper Bill Nass to remix his single Chafu pozi.

She says her dream is to be top of the charts in Africa and world over and that she will seize the opportunity to make her way there.

Sheebah has confirmed that she is already in talks with with Bill Nass on feature collaborations after Coke Studio.
