Uganda Wildlife Authority Tourism Tulambule Buses Launched

To all of us who love to tour the country and admire it’s landscape, riches and nature, we have good news on the tale. The Uganda Wildlife Authority with the help of the government has officially launched the long awaited Tulambule Buses.

The movement of tourists in the National Parks has been made easy. These executive buses will provide comfort, a wide view, and at the same time guaranteeing the safety of the passengers. They are It will cover Lake Mburo, Murchison Falls, Semiliki and  Kidepo valley National parks, only to mention but a few.

There are five buses in total, four being 74 passenger seats ones, and one, an open roof double Decker bus.

The launch was initiated by the State Minister for Tourism, Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi, and attended by the Miss Tourism Nothern Region, 2017/18, Miss Gloria Alelle. There  were also various people from the boards of governance of both Uganda Tourism Board and Uganda Wildlife Authority, and the various UWA sections.

THE BUSES ARE TO BOOST DOMESTIC TOURISM

The Executive Director of Uganda Wildlife Authority, Andrew Seguya gave a speech. He mentioned that the buses have been introduced mainly to boost domestic tourism. He added;

“We have not toured our country as Ugandans. We have given a number of reasons, and one of the biggest ones is how do we get to the national parks? the access is not there.” 

“We are telling you today how to get to the National Parke. We shall give you a ride in these buses”

The minister in his speech, also supported the initiative.

“We need to be aware of the nature and beauty of our country. We are the people to tell our own story but you cannot tell a story you don’t know.”
