Top DJs Join The “Free BobiWine” Campaign by Playing his Music

It is a few hours now, and the people of Uganda are still unaware of the location of Bobi Wine.  The singer, who is also a member of Parliament for Kyadondo East, went missing after police nabbed him during riots in Arua. His presence there, at this time in particular, is justified by the fact that the “Situka” singer went to support fellow independent candidate,Wadri, in his final campaign for the Arua Municipality MP seat.

Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine was charged with counts of treason, and possession of arms and drugs. This was after a scuffle in the capital city of West Nile, which left the Presidents car stoned, and one person killed. Many have not heard from the singer, and are demanding for his immediate released. They have mentioned that there is nothing serious, that links this man with the military.

Various artists, celebrities and socialites have taken up the Free Bobi Wine Campaign, to get him released back to the public and his wife. From various sources, we have also learnt that DJs have decided to play his songs every 15 minutes at the top of the hour as a form of social protest. This is in solidarity with the entire entertainment industry. We still hope that the singer will be released a ssoon as possible.
